Nelson wished that we could all see the spirit world rejoicing as we sat at the table (Denise sensed the same thing).  The spiritual side was enthusiastic and eager that our session would allow them to work.

 

Nelson asked about Marisol, and Mia explained the ongoing work that had been done in regards to her uncle.  Nelson felt as if there was something else that was not quite right, and the uncle was not the issue.  Mia added that a very negative spirit was present on Sunday for Marisol, and Nelson understood that the spiritual situation was between Marisol and her husband.  There was someone who wanted Marisol's husband to "flunk school," Nelson explained, and this spirit was creating conflict and discord for Marisol - in an attempt for her to lose her faith.  Nelson described it as a test, and he envisioned Marisol shaking.  Nelson felt the pain that Marisol was experiencing (as if the back of her legs were being hit repeatedly), and he knew that Marisol was asking for help.  "Help me out," Nelson heard her thinking, "Don't let me fail." 

 

Spirits 1 & 2 (via Nelson): A spirit had arrived, and he wanted to knock Nelson down as well as Marisol.  This spirit wanted Marisol's marriage to end, and Nelson sensed that someone from her husband's side of the family was involved.  There was a small black voodoo doll being used.  Denise began to cough with nausea, and Nelson experienced the same sensation as the spirit sat through him:

 Spirit: I will break this marriage apart no matter what happens...

Jeff: Why, What have they done to you?

Spirit: They don't deserve this.  She thinks she is going over there (to Ohio, where he was studying) to see him - for a party!  It will be HELL.  No one will be standing up.  No one.

Jeff: Why are you so angry?

Spirit: I have the power to do a lot.  I have to say what I want to say.  He belongs to someone else!

Jeff: To you?
Spirit: No - Not of that color!  Don't you get it?  They should not be mixed.

Jeff: Is that why you are bothering them?  Aren't you tired of being involved in that?

Spirit: No.  I am doing the job I was told to do.

Mia: Who asked you to do this job?

Spirit: You are asking questions that you may not be ready for the answer.  I was brought here to complete my work.  Some things are not to be mixed.

Jeff: No, that assignment is canceled.

Mia: They can mix, they are not different species...

Spirit: They are bringing me that doll now.  Tell her (Marisol) something - I thought I would talk to her today.  Be careful of those who pretend to love.

 

After some additional persuasion, the spirit decided to depart.  He became more aggressive and noisy, as he did not want to be taken away.  He started to dance and move around in his chair, with his arms over his head, shouting:  "Changa!  Changa!  We do the dance of the Changa!"

 

After his departure, Nelson's spirit guide had some recommendations for Marisol:  "Tell her to be careful who she invites into her home next month.  If she can, no visitors - until she and I can meet."  Nelson added that as mediums, both he and Marisol needed to protect themselves, as they were always susceptible.   

 

Nelson asked Mia how she was feeling after following the instructions of her guide (drinking the cup of tea).  She was rested and sleeping well, and as he promised, her guide had arrived to check in on her. 

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson): Mia's guide said that there was still some cleaning to do.  This was a marathon, not a speed race, and it should be done one step at a time.  Her guide was charming and excited, as he was eager to meet Mia, and he said that the meeting would happen soon; "like a dream, but not a dream - awake and face to face."  Mia will recognize him, and it will be pleasant.  He has been waiting a very long time to meet her, and he always knew that Mia would find a group that could get her to where she is now.  Her spirit guide was at peace - finally - because, "We can start doing the job!"  He asked Jeff for a towel, and using Nelson, Mia's guide stood behind her, with the towel fully extended behind her head.  He wanted Mia to think of a memory of "her best day," as the conversation continued:

 

Spirit: I have already told you what that best day will be.  We are lifting a veil that has been around you for along time.  After today, there will be no more dark corners.  Only light.  We will begin the work we promised each other we would do before we came.  This is the only way to take away the pain that we hide deep inside.  (Mia began to weep as the guide returned to his seat)  I want her to cry.  Tell her that when she experiences happiness, it will be so beautiful that she will want to reject it. Don't.  She will work with her hands.  Little by little, I will introduce myself.  It will be a peaceful feeling, with a slight tingling of the fingers, and just "Hello." 

 

As he faded away, Nelson understood that Mia's guide liked his spirit and he was comfortable working with Nelson.  Gabe had expressed some apprehension earlier over negative messages if he continued to attend the sessions, and Nelson reassured him, telling him not to be afraid.  Gabe should feel comfortable, and understand that nothing bad will happen.  As if to prove Nelson's words, a group of spirits was being brought to our table from the house of Gabe's parents in Puerto Rico. 

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson): These spirits were around Gabe's mother and they were encouraging her pessimistic thoughts.  The mother wanted to protect Gabe, but she felt useless, because she thought, "He is too innocent for this world."  Nelson understood that deep inside, the mother really felt alone.  She cried often in a corner, sometimes screaming, and then crying again over her feelings.  Mia realized that Gabe's mother did not know how to let go, and the conversation continued:

 Gabe: Is there a way I can help?

Nelson: She wants to reach you, to hug you, but her emotions and craziness take over...(a spirit moved into Nelson)

Mia: She's overwhelmed...

Spirit: She's a nut!  She doesn't know what she is.  She feels ugly, old, she's worried that her mom will die.  She wants to get in a car and go where no one can find her.  She doesn't want to deal with anything anymore.

Jeff: We are here to listen...

Spirit: You are not going to control me!  (the spirit began to speak in Spanish)

 

The spirit and Gabe's mom were both attracted to the same things - pain, suffering and discontent.  The spirit was making sure that Gabe's mother would feel as if she didn't belong in her house anymore.  "The name of our group is the Unhappy Ones," the spirit explained.  It was a group of 14, but there were "countless members," as the spirit described other similar groups in the house.  There was a need to fully clean the house of these groups, and the spirit of Philomena (Nelson's grandmother and Gabe's great-grandmother) had arrived to help.

 

Spirit 5 (via Nelson): Philomena flowed seamlessly into Nelson, replacing the pessimistic spirit.  She asked for a moment of silence as the house was cleansed and the spirits were relocated.  She told the table that she always looked after her granddaughter (Gabe's mother).  Looking at Gabe, she said:  "She knows the way, but she walks another path."   The mother would feel more peaceful now, Philomena said, and she would no longer suffer.  Philomena departed as gently as she arrived.

 

Nelson asked if everything was okay with Sonia (she was vacationing in Puerto Rico), and Mia said it was.  Nelson cautioned that Sonia had gone with the best intentions - but that she shouldn't get too involved.  She should keep her distance, as there were some things in Puerto Rico who were not welcoming her, and Sonia would not receive the welcome she expected.  Nelson had no idea of the town or house where Sonia was visiting, but he was being taken there by the spirits.  It was a new sensation for Nelson, as he fluctuated from our table to a small balcony with Sonia in Puerto Rico - back and forth.     

 

Spirit 6 (via Nelson): Nelson saw Sonia seated on the balcony, talking to her sister.  The setting was important as a form of verification, and Nelson wanted Mia to ask Sonia if the topic changed immediately while they were having this conversations, as Nelson was there when it happened.  Sonia was drinking some sort of relaxing beverage (similar to coquito), and she placed her glass or small cup on the floor between sips.  Mia began to experience severe shoulder pain in the same area as Sonia described in our last session.  Nelson thought that Sonia said she was okay, but she was not as okay as she stated.  The conversation switched to Spanish.

 

Nelson said that next week we would revisit Sonia's vacation - as more time will have passed.  Nelson also wondered how her grandchildren were doing,and he sensed that Isaac's mom enjoyed the attention she received for her illness.  Jeff was asked to remind Nelson to call Marisol, and Nelson closed with a prayer.

Chicago - January 11. 2015

Opening Prayer
 Marisol is studying an obsessed spirit that came in with Sonia that is around her niece

Spirit #1 (thru Carmen):  This spirit is around her niece and has been refusing to leave.  With further counseling, by us and the good spirits he came to understand that he cannot stay with her niece and is leaving with the good spirits.

Marisol indicates that Cando is having problems with his transition and is worried about his temple and his followers.  He needs to separate himself so that he can elevate.  We each are responsible for our spiritual development.

Message for Sonia regarding her mom: Dona Pura:

- Marisol asked Sonia if she felt her mom around and if she smiles when she does.  Sonia responded yes to both questions.

- It was related that Dona Pura is a spirit in progress and is proud of you and the path that you are taking.  Dona Pura never expected for you to take this path and with this format in spritism.  She is smiling and singing (humming).

Carmen asked about Nelson and if he’s okay.  She related that things haven’t gone the way he thought.  He asks why did he come, I want to leave.  It has become difficult for him. He made the trip even though he didn’t want to go but it had to happen so that he can learn.  The trip had to happen because certain things had to happen.

Marisol asked Isabel if she had felt palpitations or if her husband has – her husband has heart problems but she has felt the palpitations.

Spirit #2 (thru Marisol):  This spirit is with Isabel’s husband and wants him to have everything in order for when he dies and that her husband worries that Isabel will be out in the streets when he passes away.  After further counseling, the spirit reluctantly decided to leave with the good spirits.

Energy Imbalance and Fluidic Magnetism

Fluidic therapy is used in spiritist centers as a way to transmit vital and spiritual energy to others.

Humans are composed of a spirit, perispirit and a material body.  Spiritism teaches us that the condition of our material body is directly related to our healthy or unhealthy spirit body or perispirit.  The positive and negative qualities of our thoughts and emotions, the morality of our behaviors, the moral qualities of our surrounding environment and the condition of other nearby entities (incarnate and discarnate) affect the state of the spiritual fluids that make up our perispirit and our personal energy field.

Over time, as we struggle with the stresses and challenges of material life, the health of our perispirit is eventually compromised by the negative thoughts that we allow our mind to foster, the still imperfect tendencies in our behaviors, the influence of less elevated beings that we attract, the disturbing qualities of the environmental fluids in the places that we visit, and any excessive physical exertion or abuses.  As a natural result, our energies become unbalanced, leaving us susceptible to emotional, physical, and spiritual disturbances that become worse with time if no changes are made.

One way to protect ourselves against this harmful process is through the regular exercise of mental and behavioral vigilance, the study of morally edifying teachings, and a strong connection with spiritual benefactors through prayer and elevated thoughts. However, even in spite of our efforts to do all those things, most of us still find ourselves enduring physical ailments of varying degrees and emotional pains that draw on our strength.

Another way to combat factors that are damaging to the perispirit is by using fluidic therapy to restore and balance our vital spiritual fluids.  Fluidic therapy is made possible by "hand passes" (to be explained at a later time) and magnetized water.  Before a session, water is poured into small cups.  During the session, our spiritual benefactors magnify the water, and the group drinks it once the session has finished.  Magnetized water is not a spiritist invention, it has been used as far back as the 15th century. 

In "Genesis," Kardec writes: 

The ability to heal through fluidic interaction is very common and can be developed through exercise, but the instant cure via imposition of the hands is much more rare and its appearance in the maximum degree should be considered exceptional.  Even so, in diverse periods throughout history, and amidst almost all peoples, there have been individuals who have had the faculty in an eminent degree.

He later states:

The effects of fluidic action on the patients are extremely varied.  Sometimes, it is slow and requires prolonged treatment, as in regular magnetism; other times, it is fast, like an electric current.  There are even people who have such an ability that they can operate instant cures in some patients, via the imposition of the hands, or even exclusively through an act of will.  Between the two extremes of this faculty, there are infinite shades.  All the cures of this type, however, are varieties of magnetism and differ only in the intensity and speed of action.  The basic, underlying principle is the same: the fluid, acting in its role as a therapeutic agent and the effects of which depend on the quality of the fluid and other special circumstances.

Florida - June 17, 2014

Note: Prior to sitting at the table, our group had a raucous discussion (with everyone speaking loudly and all at once) in the living room. 

 

Spirit 1 (via Astrid): Astrid noticed the spirit of a man near Santiago at the start of the session.  He was from the University of Santiago de Compostela, located in the city of the same name, in Galicia, Spain. It is one of the oldest extant universities in the world.  The spirit appeared to be a professor, dressed in a long black robe with an overlay of yellow cloth, and he spoke English.  (Note: Perhaps the professor appeared as a way for the table to realize that a lesson was about to be presented?)

 

Nelson sensed several groups of spirits gathered around our table, all of them wanting to speak at the same time.  They had traveled from all over after sensing that the doors had been opened for them to do what they wanted.  Jackie and Gloria noticed the same phenomenon.  Nelson was trying to decipher the voices.  At one point, he told the table, "He says...", and he was quickly corrected by a spirit who was female.  She said, "I have come very far," and Astrid sensed that she was standing near Nelson because she wanted "Nelson to hear."  The candlelight in the center of the table dimmed to a soft burnt orange color. Nelson determined that the spirit groups were surrounding the individuals at our table.  Even though we may not want to hear each other in discussions, as we all want to be "right," sometimes we are wrong.  Jackie sensed Edgar's spirit saying that we will not fully grasp the concept until we are in the spiritual world. 

 

Spirit 2 (via Nelson):  Nelson's spirit guide arrived to facilitate the understanding of each group.  He spoke very rapidly and with authority (to mirror our earlier living room discussion), and he had messages for everyone at the table in regards to the spirit groups that surrounded them:

 

Jackie: She is trying to help people in the material world who cannot be helped.  She should redirect her efforts to others.  Stop trying to help those who cannot (or do not want) to be helped.

 

Santiago: A spiritual group of monks were around him because he was once a part of them - but he did not learn.  The monks talk to him, and he doesn't listen.  There are too many other things to occupy his mind and his time (TV, his wife, caring for the dog).  One spirit asked, "Why isn't he listening?  When is the last time he picked up a book?"

 

Jeff: "Why are you here?  These people are nuts.  Go back to singing."  Nelson's guide explained that Jeff was once in a choir.  "All he says is spirit world, spirit world," the guide continued, "Does he know the spirit world?  What is it?  Are we in it?"

 

Gloria: Madams were around Marian, and there was also a man who asked her, "Where is the botella (bottle)?  Botella, where is it?  Who moved it?"  The madams wanted to know why Gloria forgot her job - like everyone else had at the table.  The spirits warned that without them, there were no "powers."  The spirit also referenced the seven African powers and related them to colors.

 

Astrid: "When are you going to start listening," Nelson's spirit guide asked, still speaking at a rapid rate.  "You are not listening, because you are preoccupied.  So many things are in her head.  There are seven groups that we are picking up.  There is so much going on, she doesn't know what to listen to.  She wants to confront me, but I am not going to do that.  She's not listening.  Listen to what people say, not what you want to hear from them."

 

Nelson: As the spirit directed his attention to Nelson, he said, "I haven't finished.  I have this one to talk about.  Tell him he cannot tell people what to do.  He can suggest, and then shut his mouth, but he cannot tell them.  I tell him to say this, and he says no.  That's coming to an end very soon.  The things are not nice, but they need to be said."

 

Addressing the entire table again:  "What I've done is a presentation of what's going on in the world.  I used you as an example.  Did I offend anyone?  It was not my intention.  I used you to show you what you attract.  We collected what each individual had as a way to help them.  Some of you think you have secrets, well, you don't.  We see them all.  What is hidden, we already know about.  He (Nelson) wants to be in control, but sometimes he cannot be.  For the others, clean your home. How can you help others?  Some of you recently went to a show.  We can have a show here anytime (laughing).  You see, I do have a sense of humor..."

 

As he continued: "In daily life, open yourself to things that you cannot see or feel.  We had to clean your house - every single one of you - before you were ready to work.  At the end of this session, do something that has not been done in a while.  Drink the water.  Before you drink it, I will come back.  I will remove myself to the side, so that you can do what is planned for today.  God bless you."

 

Gloria mentioned that the conversations from the living room before the sessions often move with us to the table.  (Note: Read more about drinking the water at the end of these notes)

 

Spirit 3 (via Gloria):  A spirit briefly passed into Gloria and spoke in both Spanish and English.  "This table has been prepared and cleaned for a long time," the spirit explained, "Sit and work.  You think it's a little, but it's big for us."

 

Nelson saw the spirit world trying to avoid a war on earth, but humans seemed to want it.  The table discussed the topic, while Nelson saw spiritual soldiers getting prepared.  If war comes, it will be bigger than we think.  Gloria saw a large bomb being used to clean everything, as a spirit moved into Nelson.

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson):  "It's all over, not one region," the spirit said sadly.  "Even in the country where spiritism is number one, they are playing games with a ball...(referring to the World Cup in Brazil)...but the real games are being played out on the streets."  The spirit identified himself as a "big soldier" who was assembling the troops.  Referring to previous world wars, he asked, "What do you call them? One?  Two?  This could be three."  He was trying to stop a war from occurring, and he was collecting war spirits.  "That's my job," he said, "As three wars have already started.  Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.  Also South America, but that is kept quiet.  My job is to remove some agony from the world.  Stop.  Just stop.  They have allowed me to bring spirits from all over.  I have guides in place to help me move them.  Difficult spirits from Africa, where they are killing children are with me.  They will be removed, including the children who were recently killed.  Other spirits who speak a different language - even I don't understand it - removed."  He quietly asked the group, "Any time you have a second, pray for the spirits of WWI and WWII, so there is not a WWIII.  None of us are prepared to see what I brought here today."

 

Astrid began to tear up, as the candlelight dimmed and flickered again.  Astrid mentioned the churches and places of worship who plant hate, encouraging everyone to be by themselves and still be saved.  Astrid thought that we should also pray for the earth and good energy.  The spirit of the soldier spoke through Nelson and added that the earth can no longer tolerate the negativity of these people any more.  "That's my job to collect them," the spirit continued, "they think it's for a war, but it's for peace.  There were thousands.  So big, I cannot give you a number.  They are going to another planet, not this one."  As the spirit prepared to depart, he said, "I have never seen your group, and I have never been here before.  Continue, as we need groups like yours."

 

Spirit 5 (via Astrid):  Gloria had noticed Astrid's father around her (he was a former soldier) and he spoke in Spanish as he passed into Astrid.  He appeared to have a spiritual memory of Astrid (or the table), and he encouraged our group to continue to learn.  Astrid explained a spiritual gift she received earlier in the day - the recognition of her mother when Astrid visited her in the hospital.  Astrid sensed that her father and aunt were also present.  The mediums discussed visions of spirits filled with holes, the result of war damage and sadness - and the innocent spirits who are also taken during conflicts.

 

Spirit 6 (via Gloria):  For a while during the session, Gloria sensed the spirit of a woman (all dressed in white) near Nelson.  She wanted to embrace him, and she was referring to herself as his grandmother.  Nelson recognized her as his Father's mother.  She said that both of them (Nelson and the spirit) knew the reason for her visit - the health of Nelson's Dad (her son).  Nelson knew that this spirit was preparing to reincarnate - but not yet - as she still had two of her sons in the material world.  Her two remaining sons were in fragile health, and the assumption was that they would go together, around the same time.  Nelson's aunt will replace his grandmother as a spiritual guide, making his grandmother's reincarnation (with 8-10 other spirits) more effective for the future promotion of spiritism.  Gloria understood that "Don Polo" would be part of the group, and Nelson agreed.  Jackie saw the reincarnation of two groups, and Astid asked if these groups would be born in Puerto Rico.  Jackie and Nelson both said yes.  As she left, Nelson's grandmother explained that spiritism needed to be taken to the next level, and she would bring the mediums with her to accomplish that goal.

 

Nelson told the group that Marta (in Buenos Aires) wanted to thank the table for the efforts on her behalf.  She knew when the group was meeting, and she had felt much more peaceful after our last session.  Marta understood that her son's upcoming visit would be difficult, but she knew how far she could go before asking him to leave.  Gloria envisioned Marta sitting at our Florida table one day in the future.

 

Nelson related a story of his spirit guide showing him how he might be on a stage one day, explaining spiritism to an assembled group.  Jackie also envisoned Nelson on stage, during the recent James VanPraagh appearance in St. Petersburg. 

 

Gloria updated the group on the progress that her grandson was making in Oklahoma.  He loved his new location and his new job, and with a new apartment and roommate, he had made a dramatic change.  He bought a bedroom set and has the promise of a salary increase in the future.

 

Nelson explained an issue with his sister, understanding that some of the issues between them were spiritual - but there were also material concerns to resolve.  Jacike advised that Nelson should "stay out of it," and Gloria agreed.  Gloria also sensed that Nelson's sister felt that he was "stealing her boys from her," and that Nelson was a bad influence on the behaviors she had already strongly instilled in them.  Gloria realized that the sister thought, "I'm losing my child, and I am losing it."  Astrid believed that the sister had to endure what she was experiencing, as sometimes, "the only way to learn a lesson is through pain."  Nelson hoped the spirits surrounding his sister would understand that while the two siblings may have been married in a previous life - that lifetime was in the past.  Gloria advised Nelson to walk away from any confrontation with his sister.

 

Spirit 7 (via Nelson):  Addressing Gloria, a spirit spoke from behind Nelson and said, "You started it..." This spirit was referring to Gloria explaining her grandson's progress and happiness in Oklahoma.  "Do the same with your son in Puerto Rico, let it go a little," the spirit advised Gloria.  "Don't talk to him for a day or two.  It will help you and him to skip a day.  It will make things easier later on in life."  Gloria was uncertain if she could comply, so the spirit offered to "plant a thought" for her.  "All of us have room to grow, and he needs to grow.  Sometimes, say no to his phone calls.  Just say no.  Say no."  The spirit switched to Spanish, explaining that the phone chatting had become like a cane or a crutch.  The spirit wanted the group to know that he was not a member of Gloria's family, he was one of her guides.  "She is as stubborn with me as she is with you," the spirit sighed.  "Why have you sometimes closed the door to spiritual things?"  The spirit had physical work to do with Gloria that could not be accomplished at the table.  Gloria understood, and she realized that this guide was the one showing her Nelson's grandmother.  Nelson described the spirit as "insistent."  Gloria agreed to think of him in later in the evening, before she falls asleep, and the spirit promised to help alleviate some of her pain.

 

Spirit 8 (via Jackie):  Edgar's spirit was in his usual corner, and Jackie understood that he was also collecting a group of spirit mediums.  His group would be the second group (after the one with Nelson's grandmother) to reincarnate.  Edgar explained that the two groups were politically and spiritually connected before, and that both groups would now face less opposition.

 

When Jackie asked for permission to read the closing prayer, Nelson's spirit guide reminded the group about the earlier promise of the water.  In a session filled with unusual lessons, we were already forgetting things.

 

Florida - June 10, 2014

In attendance: Astrid, Gloria, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson and Santiago

 

Nelson asked Santiago and Astrid about their youngest daughter who was present at our last session.  Astrid said that she was scheduled for another job interview on June 11, and Santiago added that she was flying to DC while we were seated at the table.  Nelson and Gloria both felt the "Juan Pablo Cazares" spirit from the May 12th session around her.  Nelson realized that this spirit was with her on the plane, but he needed to briefly speak to our group.

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  Speaking from a position behind Nelson, the spirit advised the daughter to say a prayer just before her interview, and the spirit would help her.  She was cautioned not to "over think" her answers, but to just let them flow - as the spirit will be speaking for her.  Just like his last appearance, the spirit presented himself as an intelligent professor, and his succinct instructions were an example of the communication he wanted the daughter to utilize.  The spirit warned that "the road is not as clean as we may think" in regards to the job.  Gloria advised to "read the fine print".  Gloria also understood that the daughter will understand more once she allows the spirit to shape her words.  The spirit continued speaking from his position behind Nelson:  "Without realizing it, we surround ourselves with things that cause harm.  This position is an entry into something else, another job that she will have.  It's hard to remove the stubbornness out of her, but I will take that away."  The spirit added that, " Things will go as planned," and Nelson understood that it was a reference to the plans of the spiritual world - and not necessarily the plans already put into place by the daughter or the expectations of our group.

 

Gloria wanted the daughter to know that balancing her personal and professional life was important.  "Her personal life needs to come first," she advised.  The table discussed the spirit.  Nelson saw him as a professor in his mid-fifties, and he realized that this spirit may have passed on around that age.  "He wanted to do more in the material world," Nelson mused, "And now he has an opportunity in the spiritual world."  Nelson added that it was important for the daughter not to doubt the spirits, instead, she should embrace them.  When the spirit left, Jackie heard him mention that he knew Aristotle. 

 

Spirit 2 (via Nelson):  Nelson sensed a spirit related to Jeff.  This spirit was claiming that he was Jeff's father, and the table eventually understood that he was the stepfather who raised Jeff.  Referring to Jeff's upcoming plans for a summer visit of Nelson's nephew, the spirit was indignant.  The spirit said, "He wants to be a father now, when he was never a son to me?"  As the group questioned this spirit, it became apparent that when he was on earth, Jeff's father never felt loved or appreciated by his family.  Jeff admitted that the relationship was strained, with Russ (Jeff's Dad) trying to please his son (Jeff) in ways that never seemed to resonate.  Russ wanted Jeff to know that he did love him, and he tried very hard to be the sort of father that he thought Jeff needed and wanted.  Astrid told the spirit that, "Part of whatever Jeff is, he owes to you."  The spirit wanted Jeff to love and accept him for "Who I am, not what they say (referring to other family members) I am."  He also advised Jeff that, "you don't have to be a Dad to act like a Dad."  The spirit of Jeff's younger brother (Scott) was with Russ (who was his biological Dad on earth) and as he was leaving, Russ promised to return to our table again.  Astrid saw a beautiful scenario behind Nelson as the spirit was leaving.  There were five people present, including Scott and an elderly person holding hands with Russ.  They were surrounded by a white, soft as cotton light.

 

The table discussed the role of parents.  If our passing is already determined, do we ever get to decide exactly where our material lives will end? 

 

Jackie was concerned about her friend named Frank.  He was suffering from dizziness and occasional blackouts, and his medical tests were unable to pinpoint a cause.  Jackie thought there might be a spiritual reason, and she suspected that it might be related to his deceased girlfriend.  Nelson asked, "Is he calling out to her?  Missing her?"... 

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson & Gloria):  Nelson understood that the spirit who was responding to Frank's requests was not his girlfriend.  Gloria sensed the same thing, saying that it is easy for spirits to pretend to be what Frank wanted.  Nelson realized that this spirit was part of a group.  Frank was thinking about this spirit in a sexual manner, and his energy towards this entity was being used by the group of spirits to get what they wanted.  This group of spirits was from Frank's current lifetime, not from a previous reincarnation.  Gloria sensed them as tightly connected, and she visualized them as a motorcycle gang.  Jackie confirmed that Frank had once belonged to group of motorcyclists that socialized together at one certain bar.  "It's time for him to come home," Nelson heard a spirit say, and Gloria added, "He is getting tired (on earth)."  Nelson heard another spirit from the group say, "Everyone else has already come home."

 

Nelson understood that the spirit side would need a week or two to collect the spirits surrounding Frank.  He recommended that Frank should not drive much, and he should limit his driving to short excursions.  It was not yet time for Frank to leave the material world, but Frank might think that he can rush it.  Frank also needed to stop thinking about his girlfriend (and his former friends) for at least the next two weeks.  Nelson asked if the leader of the former motorcycle gang was a woman, and Jackie responded that she was.  It is this female presence who was around Frank.  As she prepared to leave our table, the female spirit was offended when Nelson refers to her as a "lady".

 

Nelson shared an experience from Puerto Rico with the group.  He noticed that there seemed to be a lack of mediums to help the earthbound souls, and he wondered why.  The answer Nelson received was that the earth is about to undergo a revolution.  Many spirits who should not be earthbound (for a wide variety of reasons), would be removed to make way for a new group of spirits who would take spiritualism to the next level.  The table discussed the issue, with Jackie wondering if the removal would require some form of catastrophe.  Nelson saw the spirits who were planning to reincarnate as associates of Christ from when he was on earth.  The table understood that the earth was not clean enough for Jesus to return, but the spirits who acted in his same manner were ready to return and make a difference.  Gloria stated that, "This will be like a coming of Christ", and as she spoke, the candle on the table dimmed to a soft orange glow.  The table discussed the use of "Father" as a definition of God and Christ.  God had the fatherly role in heaven, but Jesus assumed the paternal responsibilities while he was on earth.  Astrid related a dream that she had when she was 12 years old, about a very long flight of stairs that she saw herself climbing.  In keeping with the parental theme of today's session, Astrid's parents were in this dream, using their presence as a way to urge her to climbing higher.  "Be prepared, as change is coming," Nelson said, as the glow of the candle flared back up to the previous level of light.

 

Nelson mentioned that Marta's daughter was in the final stages of her efforts to become pregnant.  Astrid saw that if this pregnancy was meant to be, the spiritual side would be involved.  Nelson explained that Marta's son was planning a month long visit to see his mother.  Gloria saw the son in bad shape (due to his ongoing battle with testicular cancer), and Astrid saw nothing but black.  "You do not know the reason for his visit to her, or what he wants to do," Astrid cautioned.  All of the mediums thought that this visit was not a good idea.  Nelson understood the love of a mother and the need to see her son, but he thought the visit should be only one week long.  "Do not be alone with him for long periods of time," Astrid warned Marta. Gloria thought that the son might be returning to Argentina to die.  Nelson heard "San Telmo", and he assumed that this was the neighborhood where the son would rent an apartment during his stay.  Gloria stood up, and as she glanced down at the white tablecloth, she saw little black spots moving towards Nelson - like small balls of black dirt.  The mediums agreed with Nelson's idea to invite the son for a shorter visit, if possible.

 

Spirit 4 (via Gloria):   Gloria noticed the spirit of a longtime friend (Don) standing behind Jackie.  He looked happy and content, and he was saying, "She's my friend."  Jackie explained that she was having a conversation about him last night, and Gloria saw his spirit in a condition that has improved over time.

 

Jackie closed with a prayer.

Florida - May 12, 2014

In attendance: Astrid, Gloria, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson, Santiago and Astrid's youngest daughter 

 

Astrid noticed tiny lights softly falling on our table and the group as we started the session.  Jackie saw it as a spiritual blessing, and Astrid agreed, describing it as "like a gift."

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  Nelson saw a spirit for Jeff that was making taunting faces at him.  The spirit appeared as a female, but the mediums later determined that it was a male presence.  Passing into Nelson, the spirit gleefully said, "I'm gonna get it all...everything.  Soon you will not even exist."  The spirit was ridiculing Jeff, and he described his actions as "taking everything, little by little."  This spirit had a checklist of items to finish, and Jackie realized that it was a "revenge list".  The list had smaller items designed to slightly irritate Jeff, and then it gradually moved up to larger items, as the spirit became more obsessed with the mission.  The final box on the checklist was number 16, which was death.  Astrid tried to reason with the spirit, explaining that he was confused and his actions were wrong.  The spirit wondered who Nelson was, as he was worried that he was trying to take away her checklist.  The spirit refused to speak with Jeff, and the conversation continued:

 

Gloria: Are you afraid to talk to Jeff?

Spirit: No, no, no.  I am disgusted.  No, no, no!  I don't even like to look at him

Gloria: What did he do to you?  That was another existence.  He is a good person now.

Astrid: Why do you feel like that (disgusted)?

Spirit: He pretends to be the good one, the good son.  I am tired of it.  Kids should be treated equally.

Astrid: Are you a Mom?

Spirit: He was perfect.  Him, him, him!  I didn't exist.  If I get rid of him, everything is mine.

Astrid:  What do you need now?  That was another time and another life.  Look at yourself and look at him now.  What do you see?

Spirit: Same one.  I see him the same.

Astrid:  Your perceiving it that way, but that is not correct.

Spirit:  I am using the other ones (referring to Jeff's mom and sister), and I am making progress with my list.  It's a combined effort.  We all work well together.

Astrid: What have you gotten out of it?

Jackie: He's fine...

Spirit: I am up to line six.  I check that box and it disappears and I have to start over on line six again.  He cannot run.  I want her love (referring to Jeff's mother) so she will pay for what she did to me.  I don't want to hurt her, and I don't care about him.  I don't even know why I don't like him.

Gloria: The same way you hate, you can love.

 

The spirit said he was an "enemy of the whole family," until the mediums eventually encouraged him to let go of the hate.  The spirit agreed to go with the guide who brought him to the table, promising to return again one day.  After he left, the mediums realized that it was the spirit of Jeff's brother who accompanied her, and he encouraged him to sit at our table.  It was also understood that this spirit was a male, presenting itself as female.  The spirit was a miscarriage or an abortion, filled with hate over not being allowed to reincarnate into the material world. 

 

Spirit 2 (via Gloria):  Gloria saw the spirit of a man who resembled a professor hovering around Astrid's youngest  daughter.  He was not harmful, he only wanted the daughter to "remember that science goes with spiritism.  Don't study it lightly.  We know that both of them go hand in hand."  Gloria explained that the spirit world sometimes attempted to communicate with the daughter.  "They give you things, and you put them aside," Gloria sensed the spirit saying.  The spirit stressed,  "You think you know science, but sometimes we don't know as much as we should."  The daughter understood, and Nelson added that we all have a lot of learning to do.  Jackie heard a spirit (possibly the same professor) stating that "over the centuries, the laws of the universe have been changing.  The science we know now will one day be primitive."  Gloria advised the daughter that if she had questions or doubts, all she needed to do was think of the spirit of the professor, and he would be there for her.  The spirit faded away, and the mediums reminded Astrid's daughter that they were also available to answer her questions or engage in discussions.

 

Jackie visualized a spirit standing behind Astrid.  This spirit was aligning Astrid's posture, putting her head into position and encouraging her to sit up straight.  Nelson began to sense something in the daughter's future.  He saw her going somewhere soon.

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson):  There was another spirit for the daughter, and Nelson determined that like the professor, it was not a bad spirit - it was one of her guides.  The spiritual guide encouraged her to "humble herself" on her upcoming trip.  The conversation switched over to Spanish, as the guide addressed the daughter directly.  After a while, the guide revealed his name (Juan Pablo Cazares) and Astrid's daughter recognized it.  Warm and personable, the guide directed his attention back to the entire table and he asked if there were any questions he could answer.  This was another new experience for our group.  The spirit wanted us to "ask questions to learn."  Uncertain over what to ask, there were no direct questions, and the spirit departed.  The table discussed the situation and Nelson noted that the daughter was fortunate to have a spirit guide of this caliber.  Gloria related a newspaper story involving another person who was looking for work, just like the daughter was doing.  Nelson advised caution during the daughter's upcoming interview, encouraging her to sell herself as "humble."  Nelson also advised her to ask for her spirit guide right before the interview - as he would arrive to help her.

 

Gloria had a question for the daughter's spirit guide, but she was reluctant to ask it.  The group discussed the issue, understanding that the good and bad spirits who appear at our table may arrive for a variety of reasons.  Nelson thought that the spirits who appearrd to individuals outside of our sessions were a "half and half" result of the will of the spirit and our willingness to open the door to them.  The sensitivity of the mediums to see this situation was also addressed.  Gloria related a past experience she had with a friend who was dropping her off after a night out together.  While stopped at a traffic light, Gloria glanced at her friend.  Instead of looking as she always did, Gloria saw her friend morph into a very negative spirit.  Startled by the sudden change in appearance, Gloria decided to exit the car while it was stopped at the traffic light.

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson):  Nelson sensed a presence that had visited our table in the past.  This spirit appeared as a child, and he was in a much better physical and mental condition than the last time he appeared.  In the previous visit, it was determined that this was a male spirit of a boy who was aborted.  The spirit had now grown into a very humble boy (around age five or six) who wanted to keep progressing in the spirit world because he was determined to sit at our table again.  He still had some bad memories, but Nelson saw him in a hospital setting that resembled a cheerful day care facility or kindergarten environment.  The spirit only "wanted to see my mom again" (referring to Astrid), so he was "doing everything they say."  He was nervous and excited, as he jumped up and down with joy and spoke through Nelson.  All of his efforts were dedicated to just one goal - seeing his mom again.  It was interesting to note that he had earned this visit one day after the material world celebration of Mother's Day.  The spirit and Astrid had a tearful reunion in Spanish.  The spirit said Astrid "looked older," but he added that, "when you look deep, it is the same Mom." The spirit was very, very happy ("contento") as he proudly described his spiritual accomplishments to his mother.  Still eager and excited to develop and improve even more, the spirit departed.  Astrid explained her decision as to why this child could not be born (difficult pregnancy, family disruptions, etc.).

 

Nelson understood the progress of the boy's spirit.  After an initial belief that his reincarnation was halted, the boy was now learning and growing in a spiritual environment that mirrored what his development on earth might have been.  Nelson said that it was often difficult for the spiritual side to plan our reincarnation back into the material world.  Is an abortion ever an option?  The table discussed the issue.  The general consensus was that "natural" abortions (miscarriages, for example) were spiritually acceptable, while "man made" abortions were not.  The mediums realized that if the spirit of the boy had been born, he would have suffered from some sort of deformity.  The group discussed the suffering of a spirit who is not allowed to be born and compared it with the guilt suffered by the intended family.  We will never fully understand the issue until we are on the spirit side, with the ability to look down and comprehend all the variables.  Some spirits are happy to return, but some are forced.

Understanding Twins

For several years, I have wondered about twins.  Why is it necessary for two separate spirits to reincarnate together in bodies that looked identical (or nearly identical in the case of fraternal twins)?

 

At one of our Chicago sessions, a visiting spirit gave our group the opportunity to ask questions, so I asked:

 

Spirit 2 (via Nelson from October 12, 2014):  Don Polo had arrived, and he spoke to Jeff from his position behind Nelson.  Jeff had often wondered about twins.  Why did two separate spirits need to look alike in the spirit world?  Don Paulo explained that it had nothing to do with the material world.  These spirits had made a commitment to reincarnate together before arriving in the material world.  The spirits were not strong enough to reincarnate as individuals, so they had to come connected, as twins (or triplets, etc.).  Don Polo knew that Jeff had often thought that it might be interesting to have been a twin.  He told Jeff that if he had come as a twin, Jeff would have hated him, as Jeff liked, "his own individuality."  Don Polo also told Jeff that he could ask to be a twin in his next reincarnation, and that if he did, he would be "two of the same" (an identical twin, not fraternal).  Don Polo also explained that Nelson and his spirit guide were not twins, although they were as close as twins, and like twins, they often sensed and understood each others feelings.  Don Polo added that, "At this level, you can imagine how difficult it is with triplets (and other large groups of siblings that look identical but have different spirits)."  Don Polo knew that we had many questions about the spirits that we hoped would be answered, but we could not understand everything yet.  "Keep studying," he advised.

The twins do not share a soul, but they have a similar soul profile.  Just as you may have a similar personality or specific traits as other members of your family.  Many twins also have something that you may not have - a method of telepathic communication among themselves.  That communication is similar to what mediums experience with their guides as it involves understanding thoughts.  Remember with twins, one of them was reluctant to reincarnate.  The other twin promised to come along - with a material body that was identical (or very similar).  Physically, the twins look the same, but their two separate spirits needed a method of continuing their communication. 

 

In the photo below, the media presented the two babies holding hands as something cute.  In reality, one spirit was reluctant to reincarnate, so the other spirit offered a hand to pull the other one twin into the material world.  Wouldn't they need a way for those two spirits to still communicate in the material world?

 

 

So if twins contain one apprehensive spirit, is the suicide rate higher for twins?  Twins are less likely to commit suicide, as strong material world relationships are a deterrent to suicide.  Twins share an especially strong bond.  But the research also indicates that the strongest factor in any suicide is mental illness, which is slightly more common among twins.  The twins look the same, but they are still two separate souls with individual personalities - and it's difficult to be unique when someone looks just like we do.  Another interesting finding was that if an identical twin attempts suicide, his/her co-twin has a 17.5% increased risk of making the same attempt (11.3% for fraternal twins).

If twins are two separate souls who often have a telepathic connection to help them progress when they return to the material world, what happens when the twins do not want to reincarnate together?  We had an interesting example in our Florida May 15, 2016:

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson):  Our discussion about twins brought a new spirit to the table who was a twin:

Spirit: In my case, I was a criminal.  I was a twin, and I had to be born with the spirit who killed me.  The only way we could make it was for us to come together - even though I hated him.  We came in holding hands, and I hated him!  I couldn't do it again and I wouldn't do it again.  I knew he would kill me again, or I would kill him - even if we came as brothers.  I couldn't kill my own brother.  How wrong.  How wrong that would be.  If they knew I was capable of doing that, why would I come with him?

Astrid: You need a lesson of love.

Spirit: I failed again.  I did it again, I committed the same crime with him.  And you call that love?  They brought me here today to convince me to do it again.  To come with him a third time.  And there is a chance that we might do the same thing again.  (Note: In the first life, one twin killed the other, and in the second life, the roles were reversed.)  It's hard to forgive someone who kills you.  You try, you think you are capable.  You say yes, they send you together, and it happens again.  I don't know what to do.

Jeff: You can fix that relationship.

Astrid: Learn your lesson and start loving him.

Jackie: If you succeed, it will be all over.  You know it's wrong now, when all you had before was hate.  Now you know better.

Spirit: He's putting out his hand again.  I don't want it.  Can I do that task without him?

Astrid: I guess not.  Let go of the past.

Spirit: They cannot prepare our next life until I agree.  How can I put behind what has been done twice?  I do want to come.  (pause)  I guess I have to say yes.  It's my last chance.  (pause)  I'll take that hand  (weeping).  I am going to close my hand, close my mind, and say yes.  (reaching out his arm)  They will take us to that place to be born again.

Astrid: You will succeed.

Spirit (tearfully):  Thank you for helping me understand.  I'm going to take his hand again (closed his hand tightly), and we are going to do it again...

 

As Nelson recovered, Caballito returned with a message for Jeff:

Caballito: Take what you experienced here and write something about it on that place where you write.  Take what we started today and expand it, using the opinions of others.

Jeff: I will, thank you.
