Chicago - July 26, 2015

In attendance:  Bernardo, Carmen, Denise, Emiliano, Esmeralda, Eva, Gabe, Isabel, Juan, Juanita, Jeff, Maricela, Marisol, Nelson, Ron and Sonia 

 

We had a group update regarding Mia.  She was now able to breathe on her own, without a breathing tube, and her therapy was continuing.  Mia was able to partially move her arms and legs, but her eyes remained closed.  Carmen began to feel an angry spirit approaching during the discussion.  This spirit wanted Carmen to tell the group, "Don't be too happy."  Maricela said that a thought came to her that this ordeal was a test for Mia.

 

Nelson related a story about a group of spirits who were angry with him because, "he does things the right way," and these spirits wanted things done their way. The anger and negative energy of this group had intensified over the past week, until Nelson eventually called on his spiritual guide for help.  The mediums and members of our group would always be a target for these spirits who wanted groups like ours to close.  Caballito told Nelson, "Get used to it.  It's not the first time, and it won't be the last." 

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  These spirits had been invited to our session, and they immediately wanted to speak:

Spirit: We want to shut this group down.  We will finish him. (to Jeff)  You can't do anything, you're useless.  We know what we are doing.  We want to end it - no more - don't come back.  This is the last meeting!

Marisol: What would you gain from that?

Spirit: You are taking what we control away.

Marisol: Maybe it's better for you and for them...

Spirit: We will end her, too!  We like our power (devious laugh).

Marisol: You can use it in another way.

Spirit: You do good - and we do not like that.  We almost got him (Nelson).  Almost.  We brought one of ours here and he stopped her.  I want to smack him down!  Smack him hard!

Marisol: And that would make you feel good?

Spirit: No.  It's evil.

Marisol: Wouldn't you like to feel good?

Spirit: We have been doing this for so long, it's the only job we know...

Marisol: We don't have any power.  It comes from God and the kind spirits.

Spirit: They took my power away because I am here, talking to you.  I'm not smarter than you.  I thought I was smarter, but I am just a clone of that one.

Marisol: You are a kind spirit who was misguided.

Spirit (thinking it over): Misguided...Where I go, I always bring an army with me.  I apologize.  We traveled such a long way to get here, and I was so misguided.  I thought I was going to close this down today.  So much power...

Marisol: Use it for good things.

Spirit: Let me tell you something.  Don't blink one eye or another like me will show up.  Don't blink!  I will go, and take 198 with me.  They all belong to him (Nelson).  Keep reading.  The book they gave us was not the same one that you read earlier (for the opening prayer)...

 

Once the spirit departed, Nelson reiterated that our group functioned only under the guidelines established in the Kardec books.  Carmen was studying the spirit she sensed earlier - the one who was with Mia. 

 

Spirit 2 (via Carmen):  The spirit quietly moved into Carmen: "I don't know what to say.  Everything is done, and we will get our way.  She's worse, and she is not going to get any better.  I'm going to take her. We placed two weights on her eyes so that she cannot see me or ask for help.  Two weights, so they cannot be opened.  Each weight represents five spirits on each eye."  Marisol and Nelson counseled the spirit, explaining that the ability to interfere was now over.  The spirit eventually understood, saying: "Two of my friends are going to remove those weights from her eyes.  (crying)  I am feeling better.  I will go..."

 

The spirit left quietly.  Juanita started to sense a change or transition with Marisol's son, Andres. Marisol had previously felt a gypsy presence who was giving thanks and dancing.  Marisol's attention shifted from her son, as she started to notice something for Juanita in her stomach.  It was a pain, or a difficulty with swallowing.  Marisol congratulated Juanita on being able to attend today (after her extended stay in the hospital).  "The triumph is yours," Marisol explained, "and by getting here today, we are able to finish the work with the spirits of light.  It's already a 'win' because you arrived today..."

 

Spirit 3 (via Marisol):  As she was speaking, an angry spirit with clenched fists jumped into Marisol: 

Spirit (for Juanita): She is weak - stubborn!

Nelson: She has her own free will.

Spirit: She tells you she loves you - well, I don't love her!  I want her in a hole - very deep!  I am strong and she is weak.  Insignificant! 

(Nelson and Juanita continued to counsel the spirit in Spanish)

Juanita:  Please forgive me for whatever I have done to offend you.

Nelson: They are bringing your body to show you...

Spirit (sobbing): That is not me!  (to Juanita) I have been throwing marbles in front of you to make you fall.  I will remove those today.  They say I am being taken away to a place for all who are sick - because I am sick...

 

Feeling better and speaking in a calm voice, the spirit asked Juanita for forgiveness and she said that she would take four spirits away with her.  Nelson's spirit guide arrived to cleanse Juanita.  He waved the towel near her legs and spoke softly.  Returning to his seat, Caballito said: "I wanted to help her.  I know what you are thinking, 'Whenever he sits, it takes three hours,' so I will not stay long.  I get all of your thoughts and feelings.  There is much more work to be done, so I will step off to the side until I am needed..."

 

Marisol experienced the smell of a dead body decomposing.  It was the recently departed brother of Carmen.  Marisol asked the spirits of light to help elevate this spirit, as he was in no condition to sit.  Nelson began to feel as if he should hit someone at the table in the head.  A spirit explained that this person was like a damaged record that kept skipping and repeating. 

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson):  The spirit changed his metaphor from a broken record to a bee.  "So busy, so busy flying from flower to flower - but never taking any nectar.  Busy and tired, the pattern repeats every day.  Nothing ever gets done!  Again and again and all you get is tired!"  The spirit was very animated and he spoke quickly.  He asked, "What can we do with this broken record that keeps repeating?"  The group gave him some suggestions (break it, replace it, flip it over, take the needle off, etc.)  The spirit said that even with the needle removed, the record would still spin around endlessly.  He jumped into Nelson to speak:

Spirit (to Denise): You are the needle!  Going around and around and nothing changes!  You have done nothing, so why are you tired?  I don't like her.  She doesn't go anywhere...

Sonia: You need to change your behavior, not hers...

Spirit: I have a song about it.  (began to sing)  Around and around, so tired - around and around, so tired!

Denise: You don't have to be here anymore with me...

Marisol (to Denise):  Or you can leave the toxic environment that you are in...

Spirit: Ha!  Toxic calls toxic, and then more move in!  Ha-ha-ha!  I sit in a corner and look at them!

Marisol:  You do not have a body...

Spirit: So how can I talk?  And I'm over there all the time!  Put the needle back on, take it off.  Let me tell you something, it's not just me, there are lots more.  Now they put a new one in there who is the worst! 

Marisol: Listen to that kind spirit next to you.  Go to the light.

Spirit (contemplating):  I guess I don't need to be there.  (sighed)  I had a good time.  We are twelve...

 

After the spirit departed, Sonia said that the fear of the unknown often made it difficult to us to change.  On the same theme, Marisol sensed a middle-aged woman lying in bed.  She was not a spirit, but she was living her life like a zombie, and she was open to whatever the spirits around her wanted to do to her.  It was Nelson's niece (Mirelsa) in Puerto Rico.

 

Spirits 5 & 6 (via Marisol and Carmen):  The niece was content with these spirits controlling her, but it was having a negative effect on everyone else around her.  Marisol said it was hurting her father the most.  In her previous reincarnation, Mirelsa was a member of a native jungle tribe from Panama.  This group wanted her back.  Marisol said that this spiritual side was doing all the work for Mirelsa, and now it was time for her to do her own work.  The indignant spirit moved into Marisol to speak:

Spirit:  Shut up shut up!  What do you want to tell me?  Why?

Nelson: Don't you think it would be better if she was well?  So she can help you?

Spirit (argumentative):  He's the boss (the tribe leader from Panama).  He has more power than you!

Nelson: No one has that power over her...

Spirit (stamps feet in frustration):  I get between the two of them (Mirelsa's mother and father) and they fight over her (laughed). We are going to take her to a really good place so she can help us...

(A spirit from the same tribe leapt into Carmen to assist the spirit with Marisol)

Carmen's Spirit: You have to respect the boss!  We brought the party!  Fiesta!

Marisol's Spirit (clapping and dancing and referring to Nelson):  He thinks that he is the chief!

Carmen's Spirit: I like to bother her (Mirelsa's mom).  The party all started with her!

 

Nelson negotiated with the two spirits until the posture of the one with Marisol shifted, as if he was ready to make a deal.  Nelson told the spiritual tribe members that Mirelsa would help them progress.  Maybe she could have a baby and one of them could reincarnate as her son?  The spirit with Carmen nudged Eva and said, "What a show," but the spirit with Marisol was still considering the offer.  Marisol was fanning herself, as if she was overheated.  The spirit with Carmen agreed to go to the hospital with the good spirit guides, and she tried to persuade the other spirit to join her.  Carmen's spirit left quietly, and the spirit with Marisol eventually agreed to follow her - and she would take 150 spirits along with her.

 

Spirit 7 (via Marisol)  Marisol's exuberant spirit guide arrived immediately, clapping and celebrating the work.  She was happy and excited to see all of the "many friends".  In her brief visit, she cleansed Marisol and our table.  Marisol's guide was a madame, and Nelson said that those spirits were always ready to work.  To prove his point, another happy madame arrived and sat through him.

 

Spirit 8 (via Nelson):  The spirit of the madame was lively but strong.  She had specific messages:

For Denise:  Clean your house!  Clorox is not enough.  The first floor is black, and it needs a good cleaning with Clorox - over in that corner. 

For Gabe:  Look at you, I could easily find you a girlfriend who would never want to leave you.  You should come to a party with us...

For Marisol:  Your guide brought us with her so she could work in another place.  There are 23 of us.  (to Denise as she left)  Put some Clorox in that corner!

 

Sonia sensed that these were "good service madames", and Nelson agreed.  Nelson wanted to discuss Marisol's son (Andres) and his continuing process of transitioning.  Marisol has seen him sad; he wants to leave but at the same time, he does not want to leave.  She has spoken to him on two occasions, telling him that she understood, and she gave him permission to transition.  There have been moments when he almost left.  Nelson hoped that we could find a way that would be easier for both Andres and Marisol.

 

Spirit 9 (via Nelson):  Nelson's spirit guide had returned to wrap up the session.  He told Marisol that in regards to her son, some things were better if they were done privately.  He descried Andres as a special spirit.  "We are working on him," Caballito explained, "so that he will awaken on the other side in a good condition.  I can only suggest that he has his own free will."  He also had some other messages:

 

For Gabe:  "My son - and you know who I am talking to, don't you?  You know the road now, correct?  You are not going around it?  (Gabe agreed)  Help the ones you can.  The ones who don't want it, you cannot help them."

 

For Denise:  "What happened with the doctor, my friend?  (Denise had scheduled an appointment)  Until then, what have you done medically to help yourself?  (to the group)  So she did not listen.  Will you wait an entire week to take action?"

 

For Eva: "You are very happy and content to see your children do what they like to do, for many reasons."  (Eva agreed)  "You have a friend that you are trying to help.  Don't repeat things so many times, say it only once.  She will ask you to repeat it, but don't say it another time.  The conversation has not yet happened, but it will."  Eva mentioned a pain in her shoulder, and Caballito told her: "Part of that pain is yours.  When you pick up the baby, use the other arm."

 

For Jeff:  "Write it down - 99 spirit friends of the group, as we will call them.  We will take them away.  They belong to everyone here." 

 

For Marisol:  "Things are getting better in reference to that lady.  Let things fall into place.  Try not to get involved, or things will become difficult.  Look to the sky - something is coming."

 

For All:  "My spirit is happy, and very content to do the work.  Keep the doors open, but keep an eye on who comes in..."

 

After Nelson's guide moved away,  Juanita shared a vision.  She saw Andres lying in a field of white flowers.  Cando and Raquel were with him, and Raquel said, "He took all of that which was his with him."  Marisol asked the group for positive support regarding her new promotion at work.  As with any accomplishment, there were those who celebrated the achievement and those who were envious. 

 

Nelson closed with a prayer.

Positive Thinking

Spiritists believe that the majority of mental illnesses (not caused by obvious psychosocial or biological problems), including addiction, are strongly influenced by the patient’s interaction with negatively motivated spirits. These spirits can attach themselves to an individual for a period of time, influencing that person’s thoughts and diminishing his or her free will. These negative spirits are often confused, not knowing that they are dead. They can be still attached to the pleasures of material life (such as drinking alcohol to excess or abusing drugs) or they may be seeking revenge for harm caused in previous lifetimes (for example, having been murdered by the person to whom they are now attached).

An essential part of being a spiritist is learning to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts.  This type of emotional healing helps make amends for our prior negative behaviors, which can remove spirits who have negative intentions. Mediums may be needed to help us discover the circumstances in our prior lifetimes that have led to problems in this lifetime. By discussing the earlier events, atoning for past wrongdoing, and finding more ethical and wise patterns of relating in the present, we can be freed of the karma of our past transgressions.

How do we identify our negative thinking?
Here are some common forms of negative self-talk (thing we say or do to ourselves):
Filtering: Magnifying the negative aspects of a situation and filtering out all of the positive ones. For example, if we were complimented for a great day at work, once we are back home, we might focus only on our plan to do even more tasks - and forget about the earlier compliment we received. 
Personalizing: When something bad occurs, we blame ourselves. For example, if an event with friends is canceled, we might assume that the change in plans was because of us. 
Catastrophe: Automatically anticipating the worst. The drive-through coffee shop gets our order wrong, so we automatically think that the rest of our day will be a disaster. 
Polarizing: We see things only as either good or bad. There is no middle ground. We feel that we must be perfect, and when we are not - we have failed.

How can we focus on positive thinking?
It may take some time and practice to behave in a positive and optimistic way:
Identify the areas to change: Think about the areas of in our lives that we typically think negatively about - maybe it's work, a daily commute or a relationship. This identifying helps us to start small by focusing on one specific item to approach in a more positive way. 
Check yourself: Periodically during the day, stop and evaluate what your thinking. If you find that your thoughts are mainly negative, try to find a way to put a positive spin on them. 
Be open to humor: Give yourself permission to smile or laugh, especially during difficult times. Seek humor in everyday happenings. When we laugh at life, we feel less stressed. 
Follow a healthy lifestyle: Exercise to positively affect our mood and to reduce stress. Follow a healthy diet to fuel the mind and body. Learn techniques to manage stress. 
Surround ourselves with positive people: Make sure others in our life are positive, supportive people we can depend on to give helpful advice and feedback. Negative people can increase our stress level and lead us to doubt our ability to find anything positive. 
Practice positive self-talk: Start by following one simple rule: We should not say anything to ourselves that we wouldn't say to anyone else. We need to be gentle and encouraging with ourselves.  When a negative thought enters our mind, evaluate it honestly and respond with positive thoughts of our good, decent qualities.  

Putting positive thinking into practice
If we normally have a negative outlook, we cannot expect to become an optimist overnight. But with practice, eventually our self-talk will contain less criticism and more acceptance.  When our state of mind is generally optimistic, we are better able to handle everyday stress in a more constructive way. There are widely observed health benefits of positive thinking.  And when we find a better self awareness for ourselves, we become less critical of the world around us.

Chicago - July 19, 2015

In attendance:  Aida, Alex, Bernardo, Carmen, Denise, Emiliano, Erika, Esmeralda, Eva, Isabel, Jeff, Maricela, Marisol, Nelson, Ron and Sonia 

 

We discussed families in the material world, and how it was necessary for them to change and regroup while we are here on earth.  Families need to continually fluctuate and evolve for us to be better understand why we were once related in this world.  We will share similar traits and connections from our earth families on the spiritual side, as "like attracts like."

 

After the opening prayer, there were five prayer requests.  Eva read "The Prayer for the Sick."  Nelson asked Sonia about her son, and she was encouraged again to invite him (and her grandson) to one of our sessions.  There were spirits around who wanted to remove Sonia from the middle so that they could do what they wanted with her son and his household.  These spirits had already planned everything out - and Sonia was not invited.  They wanted to create doubt, and when they heard the prayers we had read, these spirits revealed that they had their own prayers - that were better than ours.

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  One of the spirits abruptly moved forward to speak through Nelson:

Spirit (to the group): Who is more powerful - you or me?  My group is more powerful! 

(Sonia and Marisol counseled the spirit)

Spirit:  They want to silence me.  They won't let me say what I want!  They have even changed the party on me, and now there is no party tomorrow.  I did not want to come here today.  Without her (Sonia), everything would have been done.  I want an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.  He imprisoned us, but we broke free.  We have been looking and looking for him (Sonia's son) so we can imprison him.  That key found in the river was part of our revenge - but it's difficult. Where are they taking us now?  

Marisol: To a better place...

Spirit: If he is there, we will not go!  There are 18 of us, but I am the only one who can speak for the group.   They hit us where it hurts the most.  (to Marisol) Thank you for your help...

 

After the spirit left, Nelson explained that he and his group had very strong energies.  The leader of the eighteen spirits was the one who spoke.  Sonia said she had felt the spiritual energy.  Marisol's attention had shifted to Erika.  She saw a sickness or a general feeling of tiredness around Erika.  "It dominates you," Marisol said, "and it sets you up to become depressed and involved in your own thoughts."  Erika agreed.  Marisol knew that these feelings were not being shared with anyone - even though Erika's parents saw the change in her and they wanted to help.  "You need to communicate," Marisol told Erika, "but you don't."  There were times that Erika stayed in bed all day, as if her life had no purpose.  Erika said that she was depressed, and she was on medication that she did not want to take.  Carmen understood that Erika was seeing spirits at night, when she was alone.  Marisol explained that these spirits were connected to a mother that Erika had in a previous life. 

 

Spirit 2 (via Aida):  Nelson described the situation as an imbalance in the body.  He urged Erika to see a specialist and change her medication.  We could help her with the spiritual imbalance, but it was up to Erika to help herself with the material side.  The most important medicine for Erika was faith. The spirit of the mother from another existence arrived, and she told Erika that her grandmother had come along with her.  The spirit said she wanted to help Erika, not harm her.  But she thought the best way to help her was to take Erika with her, as a way to end her suffering.  Erika was anemic from not taking her medication, and the spirit promised that "an injection of faith would help - like a flower, it will help you bloom.  We all have something.  It's not time for you to go yet."

 

Aida asked for a glass of water, and she rubbed the rim of the glass and asked Erika to drink it.  Aida said the grandmother and the motherly spirit would step aside now, but they would be nearby to watch over her.  Marisol's stomach felt queasy, as she began to experience the same sensations Erika endured. 

 

Spirit 3 (via Marisol):  Eva sensed that there was still a profound sadness surrounding Erika.  The spirit of the mother from another life sat through Marisol:

Spirit (expressing how Erika felt): No, no, no!  This is not a way to live.  I can't be this way, I am too young!  But I don't know what to do.  Who am I talking to here?  I am tired of worrying.  I want to do so much, but I feel old - and I know I am still young.

Denise:  That will finish today, and you won't feel that way.

Spirit (to Erika):  Come with me, my daughter.  Let's go...

Nelson: She cannot do that.  She still has work to do here...

Spirit:  They are telling me I do not have a body?  I cannot feel sick?

Nelson: It's her (Erika).  You are feeling what she feels.

Spirit: If I take her away she will be better.  (to Erika) I love you, I don't want to see you sad.  It's not true that she is happy here (in the material world), is it?  I am leaving you my love (sobbing), they tell me.  They also tell me that when I am well, I can return...

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson):  As the spirit faded from Marisol, Nelson's guide arrived to sit through him.  He wanted to cleanse Erika, and he asked Jeff to stand behind her as he spoke softly to her while waving a towel.  He advised Erika to think pleasant thoughts while he cleansed the heaviness that surrounded her from her previous lives.  Caballito also told Erika to ask for a change with her medication.  If her doctor asked why, Erika was instructed to say that another doctor ("a spiritual doctor") advised it.  Caballito gave Erika his real name (Aurelio) to use.  He asked her to call on him when she visited her doctor, and he promised to be there with her, telling her that his presence will, "feel like a soft breath of air."

 

Eva was asked to stand next, as Nelson's guide knew that she had been hoping for something to happen.  He knew what it was, and he assured her that it would occur.  He used the towel to cleanse Eva in the same manner as Erika.

 

Caballito also had a message for the group regarding Mia:  "Sonia, do not feel sad for your friend.  When you think of her, smile.  God helps you when you help yourself, and that goes for all of you.  Sadness comes to this group because of her (Mia), but we get ourselves into things.  Be patient.  Give her the strength to move up and move on.  Everything that happens is a lesson to learn and grow.  You know that I tried to help, but we all have free will.  When I am allowed, I check on her.  You know I have a soft spot for her..."

 

Spirit 5 (via Sonia and Aida):  Nelson's guide moved to the side so that the work could continue.  A spirit related to Maritza slowly moved into Sonia:

Spirit: What did I get myself into?  Why?  What happened?  Somebody tell me (sobs), I want out of there...

Nelson: That person does not need those ideas...

Spirit:  Confusion.  I am so confused.  It's got to come out...

Nelson: We are here to help you.  There is no need to be there now.  Leave her alone...

Spirit: I want out.  That's enough!  Enough!  It's so confusing, I can't get out, I need to get out of there...

(Aida banged her fists on the table as the spirit left Sonia and moved into her)

Spirit (laughing):  How did you expect her (Mia) to come back?  Her spirit is not there...

(Nelson continued to counsel the spirit until she agreed to go)

Spirit: I am tired.  I'm removing what I left with her.  I have to leave her in peace.

 

The spirit drummed softly on the table and departed.  Aida's guide arrived to cleanse her.  Nelson asked Denise about her doctor's appointment, and Denise said she was given the name of another doctor to call, but she had not yet had an opportunity to contact him.  "It goes in one ear and out the other," Aida said.  Nelson reminded Denise that there were no excuses.  Nelson asked Carmen about Bernardo's brother in the hospital.  Nelson was shown 20-30 hands, all in the same pot.  This chaotic situation involved too many people, and no decisions were being made.  Nelson advised that it would be best for Carmen and Bernardo not to be involved.  Prayers asking for clarity should be said, as the situation seemed to be one big show.

 

Spirit 6 (via Marisol):  Marisol was studying Eva, and she saw something with her grandson.  There was a spirit around this infant, and he jumped into Marisol as soon as she noticed him.  This spirit worked next to the baby in their previous life together as prison guards in a concentration camp.  The spirit was supposed to be born with the baby (as a twin brother), but at the last minute, the spirit stayed behind.  Now he was alone and missing the spirit of the baby.  He was often around the baby, and his presence made the baby cry.  He arrived in an angry, extremely vengeful mood:

Spirit: Shut up!  All you shut up!  I am looking for a way for him to be with me.  He betrayed me.  We were supposed to come together!

Nelson:  What do you whisper in his ears to make him cry?

Spirit: That he left me behind!

Nelson: No. You changed your mind - not him.  He fulfilled his promise, but you did not like the journey that you were shown, and so you changed your mind.

Spirit (to Eva):  Why did you have to stay here?

Nelson: She came to help.  What if we took you to a place to learn more?  Wouldn't you like to come back one day as his brother?

Spirit: I am going with those who want to show me.  I don't know where they are taking me, but they tell me I am mistaken - I should not be with him now.  I do him harm.

 

The spirit neatly folded and refolded a paper towel as he spoke.  He had arrived angry and confused, but when he decided to leave, he began to speak in a soft tone of voice - in a way that one might speak when trying to soothe a baby.  Nelson's guide spoke again from behind Nelson, asking Denise, "Do you think that bringing and passing that spirit today was more work than a five minute phone call to a doctor?"

 

Spirit 7 (via Carmen):  Nelson asked Alex why he had studied something in college that he now disliked (teaching).  Dissatisfied with his degree, Nelson asked Alex what he planned next.  Nelson saw a female spirit around Alex, and she would not allow anyone or anything to get too close to him.  This spirit also removed Alex's glasses so that he could not even see himself.  "She doesn't want you happy - in any form," Nelson cautioned.  The female spirit refused to sit through a male (Nelson).  She was eventually persuaded to sit with Carmen.  She said, "I defend what is mine, and no one will take him away."  Eva counseled the spirit, but she insisted that Alex should have, "No girlfriend, and no friends."  The spirit explained that in a past existence, Alex promised to marry her.  Instead, he prostituted her.  The spirit had put something in Alex's home, and she was urged to take it back.  She refused, saying that Alex had abused her by selling her to others and then never marrying her.  She had left a spiritual bouquet of flowers (similar to wedding flowers) in his room to remind him of his unkept promise.  Alex stood at the edge of the table and asked for her forgiveness.  Marisol and Jeff told the spirit that everything she experienced had occurred in another lifetime - and Alex was different now.  The spirit agreed to leave Alex alone to make his own decisions.  She would move towards the light and take the six others she had with her.  Nelson advised Alex that because he now understood his behavior in his past life, he needed to be cautious not to repeat it again in this life.

 

Spirits 8 & 9 (via Marisol):  Marisol sensed a spiritual issue related to Carmen and Bernardo.  She asked Bernardo to move closer, and as soon as he did, a very violent spirit passed into Marisol.  The spirit sat on the floor, hitting his knees and banging the seat of the chair in frustration.   

Spirit (banging loudly on the table):  I want to flip this table!  Throw it! 

(The spirit screamed and cursed until the group determined that he was connected to Bernardo's brother)

Spirit: I do not want him to get up from that bed!  Do you hear me? 

Nelson: That is not your business, you should not be around him now...

Spirit: Leave me alone!  All that is over there is fire.  All of you feel hot whenever you are over there (laughed).  Even the fan is off!  I will find a way to him.  She (his oldest daughter who is making decisions for him) should be taking medicine and seeing a psychiatrist.  There are 15 more with me, all of them telling me what to do - so we are as confused as we make him feel...

Nelson:  Listen to that friend near you.  He won't confuse you.

Spirit: But he will take away all of the fire...

Nelson: Today there is a new light for you.  Look at that light instead of the fire.  There's a light for everyone who is with you.

Spirit:  They tell me it's never too late?

 

The spirit and the others with him decided to leave - calmer and much more respectful than when they arrived.  They were immediately replaced with the spirit of the temple guardian, who also spoke through Marisol: "May the peace of God be with you all.  There is a good and kind God, and many dark lives - like this one.  A dark soul from a dark place.  Without you, we could not do the work.  There is mercy for all, even when we think we are in darkness.  Thank you for your work.  I will clean this one (Marisol), as she is a kind child.  She still has much more to learn and we need her clean...."

 

The spirit left quietly, and Nelson's guide explained from the background that the spirits of 24 Indians would also be removed today, but there was not enough time for them to sit.  Caballito wanted us to make a note about the spirits, as they were connected to everyone at our table in some way. 

 

Aida had some advice for Ron, as she saw a condition with his stomach.  There was some congestion, and Ron's legs were barely able to support his weight properly.  Aida hoped that Ron would love himself enough to improve his diet so that he would be able to live a longer life with Isabel.

 

Nelson closed with a prayer.

Just a Thought

Chicago - July 12, 2015

In attendance:

Bernardo, Carmen, Denise, Eva, Isabel, Jeff, Lucrecia, Marisol, Milagros, Nelson, Ron and Sonia 

 

Before the session, our group discussed the significance of "free will."   At the table, Nelson asked the group to take the next two hours (the session lasted three hours) to dedicate ourselves to something bigger than any of us - spiritism. 

 

Marisol asked about Mia, and she read the prayer for life for her.  Marisol sensed that Mia's attitude was an issue in her recovery.  She does not want to be in the material world now, but she is also blocking out the spiritual side.  Mia wants things in the world to be the way she wants and when she wants it, but the world does not work that way.  When we reincarnate, we have work to do in the material world, and Mia was not doing her work.  We can change our circumstances, but we cannot change our spiritual responsibilities.  Marisol wondered why Mia had studied for so long and spent so much time seeking spiritual groups, but then she never used that knowledge.  Nelson said it was if she created a "fantasy world" for herself, and when it came to spiritual work, we cannot pretend.  Nelson asked if Mia's parents were aware of her condition (they were not) and he cautioned that Mia was not in any condition to make difficult decisions for herself.  Marisol asked for the spirits of light to help Mia understand her situation, so that she can receive the needed medicine and begin the beautiful work that awaits.

 

Spirits 1 & 2 (via Carmen):  Marisol explained that with her current attitude, Mia was feeding the negative spirits around her.  As she spoke, a spirit sat through Carmen.  The spirit insulted Marisol for what she said.  This angry spirit was very powerful - and he (or she) wanted Mia to be left alone:

Spirit (to Marisol): What are you trying to open?  There is nothing to do.  Nothing is going to pass through me, I am the door.  You cannot open anything, because I block everything.  I haven't gotten her to where I want her to go...

Marisol: Listen to the good spirits...

Spirit: They have me tied up!  I am not going to let her go.  I'm ordering the others, telling them what to do. (the spirit screamed sharply and hit the table)

Nelson:  All the secrets and the groups are over.

Spirit: They have changed my group!  They are all in white.  They are going to let me go?

Nelson: But you will not be allowed to go back to her.

Spirit:  They let me go, so it's time to let her go.  I was happy with her...

Marisol: But you have made her sick.  Let her make her own decisions.

Nelson:  Her decisions are hers - not yours.

Spirit: Do I have to ask for forgiveness?  I don't know what is going to happen next.  They tell me I need to remove what I left over there...

 

The spirit moaned softly and he was gone.  Carmen's guide arrived immediately to cleanse Carmen and our table.  Nelson commented that Mia's medical condition affected everything she needed in order to be a medium, and Marisol agreed, adding, "it's the entire the central nervous system." 

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson):  Nelson asked Sonia to speak to Mia's sister in Wisconsin.  Keeping secrets had resulted in Mia's current condition, and her family did not need to continue their pattern of secrets.  An angry spirit jumped into Nelson and slapped the table several times:

Spirit:  Many things!  Many secrets!  I know all the secrets.  Why did they bring me here?  I even know the secrets that have not yet been said...

(The mediums sensed that a sexual abuse situation may had occurred in Maritza's past)

Carmen:  Some secrets can save lives.

Spirit: I am staying with her.  Her mother is not a mother to her.  I tell her to tell her mother all the time, 'You are not a mother because mothers do not allow those things to happen!' 

(Carmen continued to counsel the spirit with help from Marisol)

Spirit (very agitated): Madre!  Madre!  Profound secrets.  I cannot open my eyes, I want to speak, but I cannot!  There are things I cannot say, and pain that cannot be expressed. I don't want to go back there again - No, no no!  (sobbing) Where do I go?

Marisol: Go into the light, with those around you...

Spirit: I am tired.  So many secrets...we are the secrets...(the spirit doubled over in pain and left)

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson):  Nelson asked Sonia to call Mia's brother and ask him to phone her parents, and Sonia agreed.  Nelson's guide moved forward and he closed Nelson's eyes as he spoke.  He told the table that we should all learn from what can happen with just one secret.  There is no predestination, as Mia assumed that her mother would pass before her, and now it was in her hands in regards to who would go first.  "We reach out to give our hands," Caballito explained, "but if it isn't taken, no help is received.  Free will is the basis of life.  It's in your hands to decide.  I can only give advice - or my hand - it's up to you to take it.  I am a little stronger today (in tone), and I do not like to do that, but I want everyone to understand the choices in life.  Once we make a choice, there is a responsibility.  Mia had free will, and she acted the best she could.  Keep praying for her.  Continue the work.  Life has a purpose, which is why all of you are here.  Look inside yourselves, and you will find out why you are here.  Look inside, and you will find the meaning.  We are here to help you understand, but not to make choices for you.  Today we needed to break the ice around Mia or nothing could be done.  I will retire to the side now, as there is more work to be done.  Continue with your free will.  God bless you all."

 

Marisol observed a new spirit, and she was trying to determine his connection with the group.  He was around a young man in trouble, and Marisol envisioned him standing near Lucrecia and Milagros.  Marisol said the young man lived with his mother, but he was very disrespectful to her.  Lucrecia said it was her son, and she was frightened of him when he was in a rage.   Marisol asked her to move closer.  Because of his emotional issues, Lucrecia's son had a difficult time keeping a job.  Eva asked Lucrecia if she had ever considered help for her son.  As a former marine, there were referrals and services available. 

 

Spirit 5 (via Marisol):  Marisol's guide ushered in a strong, very irate spirit.  He clenched his hands and rubbed his fists together as he spoke: 

Spirit: Leave me alone!  I will finish with both of them. (to Lucrecia) I hate you - and him!

Nelson: What did they do to you?

Spirit: They betrayed me.  I want to take out their tongues. There are times I want to choke her - but it's not allowed.

Nelson:  What did she do to you?  Why are you using him to get to her?

Spirit: It was her fault.  I wasn't the bad one.  What a cruel death she gave me.  She put me in jail for no reason...

Nelson: That was another time.  Look at your body, look at her now...

 

The spirit began to feel better and lighter.  He moved Marisol's chair back into position as he slowly understood his past.  He asked for forgiveness.  To end his suffering, he decided to go.  Nelson explained that the spirit was endlessly reliving his incarceration over and over.  Lucrecia was encouraged to speak with her son about the house rules. Nelson said that if he doesn't like her rules, he should leave - but the doors should remain open for him to return.   

 

Spirit 6 (via Nelson):  Nelson (speaking for his guide) asked Ron what it would take to make him happy.  Ron replied that he would like to go on another vacation before he dies, and the conversation continued:

Nelson:  Do you feel that you will die tomorrow?

Ron: No.  Not tomorrow, but it could be...

Nelson: So why did you answer the way you did?  We need to get inside to soften you.  The softer you are, the nicer you will be to Isabel.

Isabel: It hurts me to see him sick.

Nelson: Do you know that his health is not good? (Isabel knew and so did Ron)  So why do you do the things you do?  I don't see you well at all, I see you sick.

Ron: Without her (Isabel) I would be dead already.

Nelson: So you want the best for her?

Ron: What do I do that's so bad?  Oversleep a lot?

Nelson:  Your health is not good.  If you know that, why would you overindulge?  Do you think you would be happier on the other side?

Ron: No, it just happens.

Nelson: If you do love Isabel, don't you want to be with her longer?  There is a spiritual friend here - he pretends to be your friend, but he is not.  (It was the spirit of Ron's brother who died seven years ago)  You listen to him more than to Isabel.  No wonder you are always tired, he is taking away your energy.  He did not like Isabel, as he liked to do things only with you.  He said she is tiny but powerful...

 

(The spirit of Ron's brother arrived, and he sat through Nelson)

Spirit: I am not happy!  They have tried so many times and now they have trapped me!

Marisol: We are trying to help you.  You no longer have a body...

Spirit: I don't want your help.

Jeff: You can see your brother now, what do you want to say to him?

Spirit: Ha!  He is in worse shape than I am!  He was supposed to go first, what happened?

Marisol: You died.  You are a spirit now.

Spirit: And that's how it is?  One minute here, and then there.  I talk to him and he never responds.

Marisol: Look at that body you are using to speak.

Spirit: It's not mine, it's brown.  I don't want to leave him, but they are telling me I can no longer stay?  I don't belong here?

Jeff: There is another place for you to go.

Spirit: I cannot convince him to come with me?  I am going to leave him and make her (Isabel) happy.  I gave him something, does he still have it?

Ron: Yes.  It was a flag in a triangular frame.

Spirit: Don't give it away.  One day, it's for us.  I wanted to know.  Thank you.  You have been very kind to a sick soul...

Isabel: Can I ask you what I did wrong?

Spirit: It was not something you did, you were just always in the way. 

 

The spirit softly departed, and Marisol asked Eva to move closer.  She knew that Eva and her son (Luis) loved each other, but Eva said that there were some things that Luis did that she did not like.  Marisol sensed some problems between them.  Eva tried to give him motherly advice, but she was frustrated when Luis would not listen.  Eva explained that she knew Luis had his own free will, but her advice was good.  Out of stubbornness and independence, Luis made mistakes, and he never told Eva.  Nelson saw that Luis had the potential to be a tremendous medium, and he reminded Eva that Luis was an adult with his own free will.  When Nelson asked Luis to stay in Chicago longer, he did - but if his mother had asked, he would have left.

 

Spirits 7 & 8 (via Marisol):  Marisol observed a spirit of a mother from another existence for Luis.  This woman was an egotist, and she did not want Luis to be with Eva in this life.  Although she was once his mother, she would rather see Luis endure difficult times than have him near Eva.  Marisol saw Luis as conflicted, with two mothers telling him what to do as he searched for fulfillment in his current life.  The spirit sat through Marisol:

Spirit: Mio!  Mio!  Mio!  Why are you saying that he is not mine?

Nelson:  You harm him.

Spirit: She (Eva) stole him from me!  I am his mother.

Nelson:  That was in another existence...

Eva: What was his name when he was your son?

Spirit: I don't remember.

Eva: How can a mother not know the name of her son?

Spirit:  Because I wasn't able to give him a name.  He was taken away from me as soon as he was born. 

(The spirit began to cry, as she remembered her suffering from when her child was taken from her.  She was poor, and her baby was illegitimate. Eva took him from her in the previous existence.)

Eva: That was an injustice I committed - forgive me.

Spirit:  I didn't want to do him any harm.  It was so beautiful to find him. 

Nelson:  There is no need for any more suffering...

Spirit: Ask him if he ever feels that he came from me....in a castle...(the spirit quietly faded away)

 

One of the spirit guardians of the temple moved forward to replace the previous spirit:

Spirit (through Marisol):  This humble spirit thanks you for allowing me to bring some words to you.  Thank you for the work you do.  I came to say that I am concerned with Mia.  Very concerned.  We are trying to help with her body, her instrument - but her spirit has not healed.  If her spirit can see her, we can go to her, as she will know us as the guardians.  If she is now willing to do the work, she needs forgiveness in her spirit.  It's one of the reasons we are in this existence.  Forgiveness is part of the healing work.   It's important, but it is also the most difficult lesson.  Not only should you forgive others, but also yourself.  To begin again.  If we cannot forgive, we cannot move on.  Not only this time, but all the time.  Thank you for your work.  May the peace of God be with you all...

 

Nelson asked Sonia how she was feeling (slight stomach ache) and he advised her that when she felt something that did not belong to her, Sonia should move it aside by saying, "This is not mine.  Move on or come in and talk."  Nelson also had question for Milagros.  He asked why she tried to carry more than what was hers.  If she could not carry her own load, how could she possibly carry the responsibilities of others?

 

Spirit 9 (via Nelson):  Milagros lived alone, but Nelson sensed the presence of another woman.  It was Milagros mother, who lived in an adjacent apartment.  "Your mother's burdens are hers, and yours belong to you," Nelson advised.  Milagros explained that her mother never hugged or kissed her, and although there were other siblings, they never helped.  Nelson advised her to tell her mother that Milagros could only do so much - and after that, it was up to the others.  The mother looked like a good person, but Nelson saw her as a terrible person.  She had the spirit of an evil queen (from a previous life) around her, and she treated Milagros as a slave.  This relationship between the two of them had occurred over many reincarnations, and Milagros was always the slave.  The mother controlled her again this life.  Nelson heard her say that, "Everything you do for me is never right," and Milagros said her mother often used those words.  The spirit of the regal queen arrived, and Nelson moved his chair away from the table - as if he was perched on a throne:

 

Spirit:  Slaves get hit.  They don't kiss us, and they should never try it.  (stamped her feet)  To my feet, servant!  Everything you do, you do it badly.  I always have to tell you - learn!  A clean house is what I like.

Marisol: What if...

Spirit: Quiet, peon!  I only talk to princesses!

Carmen: I am a princess...

Spirit: Fine.  I was told there would be a ceremony when I arrived here.  I am accustomed to that treatment.  If there is no ceremony, why am I here?

Carmen:  Things worked that way in another existence.

Spirit:  What works is the whip!  She (Milagros) has nothing because slaves do not own anything.  I come from royalty, so I have value.  Where is my ceremony?  Where are my slaves?  I don't see them here.  They are only here for us when we want them.  I don't even know their names.  I call them, "slave one, slave two..." And she (Milagros) is not doing her work correctly.

Eva: You are speaking from another body - she is no longer your slave...

Carmen:  You have no body of you own...

Spirit (slowly understanding):  And what am I supposed to do with my slaves?  Let them go?  They are good for nothing.  (looked at Milagros) She doesn't even sew!

(The counseling continued until the spirit realized that she could not return to Milagros or her mother)
Marisol:  Your kingdom is done. 

Spirit: I do not understand.  Show me the documents that state my 'kingdom is done'.  I am going to the school they are suggesting to get my documents, and I don't need her (Milagros).  I am leaving as I arrived, as a royal queen...

 

Milagros said the spirit was very similar to her mother.  The table discussed the situation, and Milagros was advised by the group that it was okay to tell her mother no when she demanded too much.  Free will often required us to deliver messages when they were necessary - or we would never progress. 

 

Spirits 10 & 11 (via Nelson & Sonia):  Nelson's guide moved forward to speak.  He asked Carmen, Sonia and Denise what happened on Friday when the three of them met.  Denise said there was a message for her.  Nelson's guide asked, "And at the end, nothing changed, correct?"  All three participants agreed with him, as the conversation continued:

Spirit: And that is where I wanted to go.  What belongs in the material world - leave it!  That situation had nothing to do with spirits, it was all material. (addressing Denise directly) Can the sick take care of the sick?  You cannot cure yourself, so why get involved with others?  

Denise: I try not to get involved...

Spirit (booming voice): BUT YOU DO!  What will it take?  Should we flip this table over on your head?  It's a dirty stew over there, and the pot is getting even bigger. You allow it!  You are the broth that connects all of the other ingredients, the broth that connects them all!

 

(Nelson's guide was replaced by two spirits.  One of them sat through Nelson, while the other one simultaneously sat through Sonia.  As the two spirits arrived, Nelson and Sonia began to laugh and cough at the exact same time.  Marisol counseled Sonia's spirit, Jeff counseled Nelson's spirit, and Denise spoke with both spirits.)

 

Nelson's spirit (laughing): She thinks she can cure others when she has not cured herself!  Another crazy shows up, and she tries to cure a nut!  We are having a party of nuts over there. 

Sonia's spirit:  It's crazy fun.  He (the spirit with Nelson) is our leader.

(The counseling continued for a while, with everyone speaking all at once, as if the spirits were trying to imitate the chaotic household environment.)

Marisol:  Listen, it's time to go...

Nelson's spirit: I'm hot!  Everyone in that house is burning...

Sonia's spirit: It's always too hot over there!

Nelson's spirit: Let's leave all the nuts alone.

Sonia's spirit: Absolutely!

Nelson's spirit: Let's go to another place!

Sonia's spirit: You are the leader!

Denise:  Go with the good spirits who are around you...

Jeff: How many of you will go?

Nelson's spirit: All of us!  Let's see, 47 plus 3, so that's 50 nuts leaving!  (to Sonia) Let's go, my friend!

Sonia's spirit: Okay, goodbye!  I follow the leader.

Marisol: Yes, go with your friend...

 

Once the spirits departed, the table discussed what had happened.  Carmen asked about the beliefs of the Rosa Cruz, and Nelson said he would bring some additional information to the next session.  Carmen's interest was related to a boy named Danny who had died.  (See some of the Rosicrucian beliefs here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosicrucian_Fellowship) 

 

Nelson closed with a prayer.

Chicago - July 5, 2015

In attendance:

Bernardo, Carmen, Denise, Eva, Gabe, Isabel, Jeff, Luis, Milargros, Maricela, Nelson, Rossanna and Sonia 

 

Nelson asked the group for continued prayers for Marisol's son (Andres) and for Mia.  Luis and Eva were encouraged to speak up if they felt any spirits around them today at the table.  This prompted Maricela to mention that she received a spiritual message on the her way to the session - that Mia would not be attending.  Carmen asked for prayers for Juan (Bernardo's brother) who needs head surgery.  He is having a hard time breathing and he needs an oxygen mask.  Carmen also asked for prayers for Migdalia, a friend of hers experiencing difficult times.

 

Nelson encouraged everyone to be candid, and he hoped that we all understood that what transpired at the table would not be repeated outside of the group.

 

Spirit 1 (via Sonia & Nelson):  Gabe said he was doing well, and Sonia initially said that she was feeling good, but as the conversation continued, she said that she felt as if she was going to scream.  Sonia was sensing an angry spirit around Mia, and this spirit wanted to make Sonia scream.  Nelson had felt the same presence yesterday, and he told the spirit to leave his friend alone.  The spirit passed into Sonia:

Spirit: Why do I have to talk to you?

Nelson (walking over to stand in front of Sonia): Because I am talking for her (Mia)

Spirit: Leave her alone!

Nelson: Why do you have so much rage?

Spirit: I want to take her by the neck!  She thinks she knows everything and she doesn't understand anything! (the spirit believed that Mia was experiencing hate and guilt, and he wanted it to continue)

Nelson: Why do you want to take her there?

Spirit: So she can lose everything - so she goes crazy.  She didn't listen...

Nelson: I ask for help from this table to elevate energies to help that person...

 

(The spirit began to suddenly fade from Sonia.  As soon as Nelson sat back down in his seat, the spirit jumped into him from Sonia)

Spirit (now speaking from Nelson):  I arrived at the party!  She is going to finish becoming crazy.  I want some water - with salt - you know, a little something extra.

Carmen: We have spiritual water.

Spirit: No, no, no!  (speaking to Jeff in English)  Gringo!  Get me some water, you know, with a little something extra.

Jeff: We do not have that here.

Spirit (to the group):  She deserves to be there - where she put us.  We went there to get her, but now they took us away from there.  With all three of us - her sister as well.  (pause)  I don't feel well, my chest hurts from all the screaming.

Carmen: We will help you feel better...

Spirit: She doesn't know what she gets into.  Where is Nelson?  We are going to drive him crazy as well.  He was thinking about her, and look where she is now...

Carmen:  Listen to those around you...

Spirit:  But they are telling me it is not that kind of party.  I am going to receive the water I need?  That man insisted...there are 28 crazy people with me - 28 crazy nuts!  All nuts!

Jeff: Does that include you?
Spirit: Yes.  All of us are going now, we are going to leave her...

 

Spirit 2 (via Carmen):  A spirit began to sit through Carmen, and this spirit also wanted to harm Mia:

Nelson: Aren't you tired of talking?  Leave her alone...

Spirit: She rejects us, but we are still there for her - see sees us.  She is going to accept and use us, and if she doesn't, her mother will!  She put me in this condition, so now she is there.  (In a previous existence, Mia had lit this spirit on fire, and he hated the way his face looked now in the mirror.  The spirit placed Carmen's head on the table and she cried softly.)

Nelson: That stops today.  They brought you here to receive light - and progression.  She is doing better over there, so listen to that friend who came with you today - it's a beautiful message.  She forgives you...

Spirit: So many came to get me.  I came here alone.  How can I leave her?  She was the love of my life...

 

The spirit left crying.  Nelson told the group that although Mia was in a spiritual process, vengeful spirits could still cause her harm.  The group discussed the issue. 

 

Changing topics, Nelson asked Eva if she thought it was an easy process to get from Puerto Rico to her daughter's house.  Eva said she was happy to come, as she wanted to help with the baby.  Nelson asked Eva, "Do you want to help your daughter even more?"  Nelson understood that there was a spiritual connection between Eva and the new baby in a previous life.  Eva was the mother of the baby in that existence, and the baby now saw her as the mother in this life.  Nelson saw a unique triangle connecting Rossanna (the baby's mother), Luis and Eva.  Rossanna said she felt as if she was not in control of her baby, as Eva controlled things and was more connected with the baby.  "Where is your life," Nelson asked Rossanna, "if your life is not with the baby?"

 

Spirit 3 & 4 (via Nelson):  Rossanna said she felt a lot of sadness, and Nelson (with his guide speaking from behind him), asked her why.  In this existence, Nelson's guide explained that Rossanna was the mother and she was responsible for her baby.  She should be happy, as her son was born into the exact family he was supposed to be with - and nowhere else.  The baby came with an additional responsibility for Rossanna.  She will become a medium.  Nelson's guide began speaking through Nelson, as he moved towards Rossanna to cleanse her with a towel.  He quietly explained that there were some spirits standing by the baby, and these spirits did not want him to sleep.  "When you return home," Caballito advised, "he will be asleep.  Don't wake him up, let him sleep."  Eva's father was around (in the spirit world), and he was proud to see Eva and her children at the table.  Caballito also had a message for Luis: "Walk forward, with your eyes open.  You will find what you are looking for."

 

Caballito returned to his seat and spoke directly to Denise about her father: "Don't be afraid.  What is going to happen has already been put into place.  There is nothing that anyone can do now."  Denise's German father was described as bossy and controlling.  His anger and temper influenced the entire household.  Now he was feeling sorry and frustrated that things were not going his way.  He disliked his life, and he wondered why it wouldn't end.  A spirit moved forward to speak (he was restrained and being held back): "It's my way or no way!  We are friends.  He is going to pay for everything...why am I here?  Let me go!  I don't like you.  I want him to suffer!"  The group counseled him until his anger subsided.  He agreed to leave, and take the six other spirits he had with him. 

 

Nelson's spirit guide was still with him, and he was ushering in a group of soldiers.  All of them were from distinct wars, but now they were marching together in a linked chain of unity and precision.  They respected each other because they were connected by all having served as soldiers.

 

Spirit 5 (via Nelson):  Eva mentioned an uncle who passed away when he was young.  She knew that in the spiritual world, he liked to put things in order, and she thought he might be part of the soldiers.  A spirit stepped forward to speak through Nelson, in an authoritative voice.  He spoke to the table and his assembled troops:  "We are ready for the battle - to do our part.  We no longer need to be in this state anymore.  Today we graduate, we get our diplomas.  We came with all of you today (at the table).  Together.  We do not recognize everyone, but some we do.  We maintained our observation, and now we are told that we no longer need to be here.  We can lower our weapons, and we will be given another type of weapon.  I am very content, because I was able to arrive here today.  Now we will go somewhere else.  Myself, and 254 soldiers will be taken to a school.  Thank you for attending to us..."

 

Nelson was exhausted from passing three strong spirits in a row.  He asked for cleansing from his spirit guide, Caballito:

Caballito: He is okay - it's nothing to be worried about - but before I go, and I know he is tired, but the work comes first.  There is some spiritual residue left behind.  Denise?  Can you come over here and stand in front of me? 

Jeff: Do you want me to stand behind her?

Spirit: No. (to Denise) Start living your life, and take care of you.  Stop taking care of everyone else.  It doesn't matter what you have to do, it's time.  There is no reason to cry, it's time to celebrate.  It's time to start what you have tried many times before and failed.  Am I correct?  Pick a day and start thinking and acting just for you.  Your life needs to move forward.  If you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anyone else.  Such a lack of love for yourself!  Look in the mirror and begin to like what you see.  I was right when I sent you to the doctor, wasn't I?  Go again, but do not go alone.  Take a friend.

Denise: I could ask...

Caballito: Sonia?  Can you...

Sonia: Yes. It's not a bother.

Caballito: I will also be there with you (moved his fingers up and down in front of Denise).  He (Nelson) will be okay, he is ready to do the work, and together we have lots of work to do.  That is his job and mine.  It was a delight to be here and share all of this with you.  I am always here for you.  Earn it, so that when you call, a lot will show up for you. (to Jeff) Give a hug to your mother, even though she may have not earned it - the one growing will be you.

 

Nelson closed with a prayer.
