Florida - October 29, 2013

In attendance: Astrid, Gloria, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson and Santiago

 

After viewing a portion of a televised travelogue about Argentina, the group debated the practices of other spiritist centers.  In Argentina, attending education seminars is often required before participants are allowed to sit at the mediums' table.  When education is offered in Chicago, the participants do not meet to pass spirits together.  Each group has it own guidelines. 

 

At the table, Jackie relayed a thank you from her friend Donna.  She appreciated the work from our group in the last session. 

 

Spirit 1 (via Astrid):  The spirit of Marita arrived (an aunt of Astrid's who functioned as one of the spiritual guide for our table).  Speaking in Spanish, she reminded us that she was always watching over our reunions.  Her appearance served two purposes - as a blessing for our table and to wish Astrid and Santiago a safe journey on their upcoming vacation.

 

Marita wanted Astrid and Santiago's upcoming cruise to go well for them, but she also had a cautionary message.  If they encounter someone disagreeable during their vacation, they should politely push away.  Nelson saw this warning even clearer, and it involved Astrid walking near the ocean, with white rope railings nearby.  He cautioned Astrid not to get too close to the white rope railings.  Astrid understood, as she saw a gentleman stumbling into her from behind, causing her to fall.  Nelson added that "Not everyone is happy that you are going on this trip."  Marian saw the same image as Nelson, but this time the person encouraging Astrid to fall was a material being connected to Astrid who was not involved with the cruise.  "We open the heart to evil, not good," Nelson added.  As the spirit of Marita said earlier, "It's not in the flesh, it's in the soul." 

 

(Update: On her vacation, Astrid held tightly to the white rope railings and there wasn't any accident)

 

Spirit 2 (via Nelson):  A spirit who described himself as "just a friend" passed into Nelson: "Sometimes in order to do the real work, the material side has to suffer."  His message was a continuation of Marita's warning regarding the cruise, and he had determined that there was a "cord" (it connected Astrid and Santiago to the material person who resented their trip and wished them to suffer) that needed to be severed.  This person hoped that an incident on the cruise would discourage any future trips (Astrid understood and acknowledged the situation, as it involved one of their daughters).  The spirit asked the group for two minutes of silence, as the spirit world wanted to "cut the cord" to minimize the harm.  As the table sat in silence, the spirit jolted everyone.  He suddenly banged Nelson's hand firmly on the table and shouted, "CUT!  Cut...cut...cut!"  After speaking softly to Astrid in Spanish, the spirit addressed the table again in English: "Everyone is responsible for their actions - good or bad."  The spirit told Astrid that she was not responsible for the actions of others anymore.  "If we cut the spiritual side, we must also cut the material side," he continued.  We have free will, and we know what we are doing.   The spirit wanted the table to realize that more of our future work would involve working from both the material and spiritual sides simultaneously.  "Don't close the door," he cautioned, "as there is so much work to be done.  You will not understand it at the beginning, but everything will fall into place."  The spirit departed, promising to observe the rest of the meeting from a position in the background.

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson): Nelson sensed a message for Gloria, but the spirit delivering it would speak from behind Nelson,  instead of using him to sit at our table.  Gloria's grandson wass preparing to leave for an opportunity in Oklahoma, and this spirit advised Gloria that while he is there, he should not have any phone contact with her.  It is permissible to write (or exchange emails) but Gloria should not call him or take any of his calls.  There is to be no direct line or link.  The spirit was very insistent, repeating do not use the phone.  Gloria asked if she was allowed to speak with her grandson to say goodbye on Sunday before he left, and after considering the request, the spirit replied, "No." 

 

Nelson sensed that this spirit was too strong to sit and the conversation switched to Spanish.  A group of harmful spirits surrounded the grandson, and their luggage was already packed to travel along with him on the plane.  Nelson saw them in a constant state of disrepair, drinking to excess, abusing drugs and committing crimes.  Nelson knew that we had to remove these spirits, and he saw the spiritual side as they started unpack their luggage for them.  They are not allowed to go with Kevin, as this situation was offered as a chance for him to improve, and these spirits would hinder his progress.  To prove his point, the spirit told Gloria that she has been asking for this opportunity for her grandson, and now it was up to her not to jeopardize it.  The entire group that he was scheduled to travel with would all be cleaned.  It was up to them to keep themselves clean.

 

Spirit 4 (via Nelson):  One of the partying spirits was allowed to sit through Nelson as long as he promised to remain respectful.  "If I am not going on the plane with him, where are we being taken?", the spirit asked.  "We have the right to know.  If you only knew the plans we had..."  The spirit was in a very festive mood, but when Jeff challenged his motives, he displayed a quick temper.  He offered to dance on the table (or have a attractive girl dance for the group), until the spirits reminded him of his promise to be respectful.

 

The spirit was shown a different plane, and he was impressed by how large it was.  "Do you know how many seats there are?", he asked the table. "214!  There are 214 seats." he continued.  "They are giving everyone water, but it is not the type of water we want."  Jackie told him that the water being given to his fellow passengers would also hydrate him for the trip and make him feel good.  The spirit wanted everyone to realize that Gloria's grandson was a very good friend of his, and he seemed very reluctant to abandon that relationship by accepting the offer to travel on a different plane.  "That water is putting everyone to sleep," he noticed.  "I have to find out what is in that water."  He paused for a while, deep in thought.  "I am gonna go on that plane, it has all new stuff."  He paused again.  "Sorry if I was not respectful.  I'm gonna go on that plane..."  Once the spirit departed, Nelson clarified the situation.  The spirit world was putting many things into place for the grandson, as they were trying to save his soul.  It was very important that he brings the spirit of his future son into the material world, as this spirit has already started the transition.  The eventual son has seen his father and he is looking forward to his reincarnation.  In a prior life, the grandson killed the soul that would now be his future son, which is why another reincarnation needed to occur.  Nelson cautioned Gloria to instruct her son and his wife that whenever they communicate with their son, the news from Puerto Rico should always be light and positive.

 

Spirit 5 (via Jackie): Jackie saw Nelson's sister with a health issue, but it was nothing major.  Nelson thought it might be stress or her nerves, as she worries about her children, work, the family cars, etc. so much that she often forgets to eat and take care of herself.  Jackie said, "If she is not in good health, she cannot take care of her family."

 

Spirit 6 (via Astrid): Astrid saw the spirit of a child (dressed in period specific clothing) standing near Jeff.  This child had a basket of roses, and she was tossing them towards Jeff as a reward or accolade.  Jackie sensed Janet (the deceased best friend of Jeff's mother) also near him, and she was with some other spirits of people she had not seen for a while.  They all appeared to be friends, not relatives.  Janet wanted Jeff to know that she checks in on him occasionally.  Astrid saw Jeff doing better than others might think.  She envisioned him sitting in a large, luxurious bed of decorative sheets, comfortably draped around him.  Jeff was wearing an old fashioned nightcap, and he appeared to have red hair.  Astrid realized that in that lifetime, he was Scottish.  There was a younger girl standing near him, more like a former daughter or caregiver than a wife.  Was this an indication of the roles that Jeff and his mother had once shared in a previous reincarnation?  The table discussed the current situation with Jeff's mother, and the interactions over the years between the two of them.  Gloria believed that when Jeff is alone or by himself, he sees or senses things (in a spiritual manner), but he does not say much about it.

 

Jackie closed with a prayer.

Florida - October 27, 2013

In attendance: Astrid, Gloria, Gregory, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson and Santiago

 

Nelson explained his premonition that some sort of major disaster might happen in the future.  Astrid felt the same sensation, and she said, "It feels as if it might touch us, but there is nothing we can do, except to live with it once it occurs.  The table discussed the issue, and Astrid reminded the group that being more sensitive, we often carry burdens that are not always our own.

 

Gloria sensed an image of Nelson's father, and she was uncertain if it was related to a specific issue.  Perhaps Nelson and his father were just thinking of each other?

 

Nelson asked Jackie about Donna (the friend she mentioned in our previous session).  Donna was doing better, but Jackie suspected that her improvement was temporary.  Jackie thought that Donna might be ready to give up.  Nelson saw the situation as a game of musical chairs in which Donna was the only participant, continuously circling the row of connected chairs.  Astrid sensed that one of Donna's problems was the financial dependency of her children.  Nelson saw other energies around Donna, but they wore hooded sweatshirts that obscured their faces.  Nelson also believed that Donna was attracted to a very negative group of her deceased "friends" (and Jackie agreed).  These spirits kept Donna in a state of dizziness all day long - like the endless game of musical chairs.  The spirits were too powerful to sit.

 

Nelson recommended that Donna take a long walk and drink mineral water.  He also realized that she needed to clean out whatever items she had in a top right hand drawer of a tall dresser in her bedroom.  The drawer should remain empty and unused.  Astrid sensed that even with this action, Donna still had a lot left to endure.

 

Jackie also wanted to know if any of the mediums sensed anything with her former brother-in-law, Mel.  They did not, but Nelson cautioned Jackie not to try to carry more than she should spiritually.  She has been overloading herself.  Gloria heard a voice saying, "Jackie, leave it alone."  Nelson recommended that Jackie also disconnect herself from Rafael, as he saw Rafael very dazed, as if in a dream.  There was a spirit who looked like an identical twin attached to Rafael - and he wanted to kill Rafael (Gloria saw the same thing).  Astrid saw Rafael giving up his ability to fight against this spirit, and Gloria saw him realizing that he has more friends when this spirit was around him.

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  "What do you want?", the spirit angrily asked, as he sat through Nelson:

Spirit: I almost have him, he is almost mine.  We are together.  Friends.  

Gloria: You do not have the power to do what you want.

Jackie: It's time to leave him alone. 

The spirit was silent, and after a long pause, Astrid realized that the spirit was being shown what he had done.  He was also being shown his deceased body.  "That's not me.  Not me!", the spirit said, repulsed at what he saw.  Astrid told him, "Your have been out of that body for years," as she and the spirit saw the body only as bones.  Jackie explained, "You are no longer material, and you can't live through Rafael."  The spirit guides who brought him were trying to encourage him to leave with them.  "Don't take the laughter away from me..." he said.  He eventually decided to leave, but he wanted us to caution Rafael to be careful, saying, "Not everyone who comes in with a smile is really carrying a smile."  Gloria noticed how the air in the room improved and became cooler once the spirit departed - a change from the thick stagnant temperature in the room was when the spirit was present.

 

Spirit 2 (via Jackie):  Jackie saw Nelson in 1800's Chicago, riding in a carriage.  The driver pulled up to a building without any name or address, and told Nelson that he had arrived at his destination.  The building was filled with white light, and Jackie saw Nelson debating if he should enter.  Astrid saw it as Nelson possibly not trusting himself (or his instincts), and she told him, "eventually you will."

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson): Nelson cautioned Gregaory to educate himself more (in regards to spiritualism) before attempting anything.  "Don't do things you think you can do, as you might be harmed," he advised.  Gregory should try to avoid making mistakes that he might regret later.  The table discussed spiritualism and free will, and Nelson reminded Gregory that once we are committed to spiritualism, there is no going back.  The spiritual education cannot be "undone", and as we learn and grow, we know better.  Nelson also encouraged Gregory not to be "frustrated by life."  We can always call on our spirit guides for assistance.  A spirit guide who was very close to Gregory was the entity who was speaking through Nelson at our table.  This spirit guide thought that Gregory would benefit from attending more sessions, to give him a sense of continuation.  Although he may not have many questions now, the questions will eventually come to him all at once, and Gregory will need to be prepared.  Nelson explained that this spirit was Gregory's main spirit guide - and he was very protective of him.  Gregory's guide expressed a desire to sit at our table in a future reunion, where he could speak to Gregory unfiltered.  Jackie sensed the spirit of a Spanish nun near Gregory, ready to hit his knuckles with a book or ruler.

 

Jackie also felt the continuation of arguments between Jeff's mother and sister.  There was a spirit standing between them, trying to tell each of them that the ongoing arguments were ridiculous.  Nelson sensed that in a prior life, one of them may have killed the other.

 

Jackie closed with a prayer.

Florida - October 24, 2013

In attendance: Astrid, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson and Santiago

 

As the group transitioned from the living room to the table, Jackie noticed troops of marching soldiers lined up in formation facing the table.  Jackie also felt the presence of Gloria in her usual seat at the table, connected to the group by some sort of spiritual strings.

 

Once the group was seated at the table, Nelson sensed the presence of a spirit who wanted to speak at our table once before (when both Gloria and her son were present).  This spirit remained silent because he did not want his message to be interpreted as hurtful, but now the spirit was unable to forgive himself for missing his opportunity.  His sadness at not communicating earlier led him to implore the group to "look at each other, and say what is inside."  His message was that every family has a "Pandora's Box" of secrets, tightly compressed, and ready to burst.  The only way to take away the power that these secrets have is for the truth to be told.

 

(Note: Pandora's Box was an artifact from Greek mythology.  The "box" was actually a large jar which contained all of the evils of the world.  When Pandora opened the jar, all of the evils flew out, leaving only "hope" inside once she closed the jar again.  Today the phrase "to open Pandora's box" means to perform an action that may seem small or innocent, but could turn out to have severely detrimental and far-reaching negative consequences.)

 

This spirit was speaking while standing behind Nelson, asking questions about the family of Gloria's husband.  The questions were difficult for the table to answer without Gloria being present. 

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  As the spirit passed into Nelson, he told the group that the parents of Gloria's husband had asked the grandparents (it was not clear if he was referring to the maternal or paternal grandparents, and if this decision was related to the soldiers that Jackie saw) to raise their child.  The spirit explained that two tiny, short spirits were standing with him, and they were the real parents.  Gloria's brother, Santiago had seen photographs of the father of Gloria's husband, and he was very tall.  The spirit insisted that the real parents were with him, and they were short.  The spirit believed that this was a family secret that Gloria's husband never knew.  The spirit began to cry over the meaningless secrets that are so often kept by families for unimportant reasons. 

 

"Enough...enough suffering," the spirit sobbed, "For how long?  How long do we have to continue?  How long...?".  Jackie gently told him that the secrets kept by families will continue, until someone decided to break the pattern.  "It's time to cut it," the spirit replied.  Astrid reminded the spirit that we all have free will to confide in others or remain quiet.  Looking around the table at each participant, the spirit said, "If we do not break those chains, we will never be happy.  I am going to break those chains."  As he started to weep again, he explained that he once believed that keeping secrets protected families from getting hurt, and now he realized that not knowing the truth was hurting them instead of helping them. 

 

The spiritual presence realized that the spirits who had brought him to our table were translating his words into English.  He wanted to speak in "Tagalog" (a Filipino language), but he knew that we would not understand him.  He wanted his grandchildren and our group to find "Gumballou" (which the table understood to mean "happiness" in Tagalog).  He repeated this word several times. 

 

(Note: "Gumballou" is what the word sounded like, and the spirit seemed to indicate that it meant "Happiness".  After researching the word online with various spellings, I could not find anything similar in Tagalog.  It may have been a slang term unique to his era or even something specific to his location.  There is a similar Tagalog word, "Kulambo" which means "outside of the mosquito net" and usually refers to a husband sleeping away from his wife for the night.) 

The spirit continued: "The truth has been held back for so long, nobody knows the reality.  Find gumballou!  Happiness depends not only on tangible things, but more essentially on the intangibles."  The spirit decided to leave with the others who brought him to our table, and he agreed to take his memories, the chains he referred to earlier, and the key to his box of secrets with him.  As he left, he told the group that he was tired and exhausted, and that happiness (Gumballou) will liberate us from all that he suffered for so many years.

Jackie noticed that the soldiers who marched in earlier before he arrived had also left with him.  Nelson was sweating, yet his arms were icy cold to the touch at the same time, and he was experiencing the exhaustion that this spirit said he had endured over the years.  Nelson's spirit guide had arrived to refresh and cleanse him.

"There is still much more to do," Nelson's spirit guide told the table.  "Don't forget that we still make mistakes as humans."  With so much spiritual baggage removed, Nelson's spirit guide believed that Gloria would start to feel better.  "We cannot put being a mother above being a spiritualist," he said, adding that in many ways, Astrid was similar, but she was stronger because of Santiago.  Nelson's guide asked Astrid about her daughter in Puerto Rico.  Astrid had wondered why her daughter felt the urge to see her biological father and she hoped that her daughter had not "bitten off more than she could chew" with this trip.  The guide encouraged Astrid to continue talking, so that the paternal spirit could be liberated.  Nelson, his guide and Astrid would work together to accomplish this task without an actual spirit sitting through Nelson - as he was too exhausted from the previous spirit. 

Spirit 2 (via Nelson's Guide):  The father of the daughter (Astrid's first husband) was unconscious, but he needed to know that he was forgiven.  Astrid said that she had forgiven him a few days ago.  It was important for Astrid's other daughter to know that one day she will understand why we sometimes need to experience passages and sufferings in order to move on to the next level.  It is OK not to understand it all now, but do not judge.  Nelson's guide said that it is very difficult not to judge, as we put all of our purpose into the material body, even when the body cannot tolerate that spirit level anymore.  There is a spirit of an aborted child (from a second wife) with the unconscious father, and this entity is present for the same reason that the daughter felt compelled to go: Her spirit needed it.  Nelson and Astrid both saw the father floating alone, unable to let go and pass.  As he looked at his daughter, he said, "Look at me, don't end up the way I did." (which may have been a comment about the material body or about spiritual awareness).

Spirit 3 (via Nelson):  Nelson sensed an interesting group of spirits observing our table, and they promised be present again during the next session.  This group thought they all had a material body, and they enjoyed drinking, dancing, drugs - it was like a continuous non-stop party for them.  As they looked at our table, one of them said, "What is this, a nursing home?  When we talk, others listen.  You should see what I just made someone do at the last party..." and the spirit faded away.

Spirit 4 (via Jackie):  Jackie saw Edgar again, and she believed that he has been trying to help Gloria, but the issues were too heavy for him.  Now that some things have been lifted, he will try again.  Nelson asked Jackie about her friend (Rafael), and she said that he does not answer her calls.  Nelson believed that Jackie was doing the right thing by not feeling guilty.  Jackie mentioned another friend of hers who was also suffering (Donna).  Nelson and his guide assured her that we have the ability to help others remotely. 

Jackie closed with a prayer.

Florida - October 18, 2013

In attendance: Astrid, Gloria, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson and Santiago

 

A discussion in the living room before the reunion allowed the group to share recent educational opportunities (a television program for Astrid and Santiago and the Spiritist Society of Chicago presentations that Nelson and Jeff attended in Chicago).

 

Once the group was seated at the table, Nelson sensed a spiritual issue related to Gloria's asthma illness.  A spiritual healer was present (Astrid saw the same image earlier) and he was attempting to heal Gloria as the reunion started.  Nelson also saw a spirit from a previous existence, one of Gloria's husbands from the past.  He was waiting for her to join him, extending his icy cold hand out to her.  Nelson's spirit guide arrived, and he instructed Nelson on how to spiritually cleanse Gloria.  While she was standing, with Jeff next to her in case she needed assistance, Nelson fanned the asthma energy away from her with a small towel and by occasionally blowing air away from her back.  As the participants sat back down, Nelson's guide told the group that there was more work to do, and he offered to reappear if needed later in the session.

 

Nelson sensed that the spirit of Gloria's ex-husband believed that Gloria and her condo belonged only to him.  "He keeps her sequestered," Jackie added.  Astrid realized that Gloria was, "doing what he wants, and he thinks he is doing something good - as he wants the best for Gloria."

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  The spirit of the ex-husband arrived through Nelson, speaking in Spanish and sobbing.  He was from another time and another existence.    "My love...my love..." he wept, as he caressed his own face as if it were Gloria's.  He wanted to hug Gloria, and he recognized that she had the same name in this lifetime as in the one they shared in the past.  Astrid and Gloria attempted to enlighten him in regards to his situation, and they encouraged him to progress.  The spirit wanted Gloria to come away with him, as his crying switched over to soft laughter that was intended to make her want him.  The spirit described what their life would be like together (with guitar music, which is something that Gloria has always enjoyed).  Astrid clearly saw the idyllic life he was describing. 

 

The spirit noticed another entity beside him, and his crying returned when he realized that this spirit intended to accompany him to the next stage of his progression. "Gloria De Los Angeles," he softly repeated over and over, using Gloria's name as a way to say goodbye, "I love you."  Gloria realized that his deep love for her in the past must have been reciprocated by her former self.  "Hasta luego," he cried softly as he left, and "Perdona..." (Sorry)  

 

The table discussed the experience.  This spirit came from a small town or villa, and Nelson saw Gloria walking with him on cobblestone streets.  They only had eyes for each other.  The location seemed to be somewhere in Spain, and it was clear that the two of them adored the time they spent together.  Astrid sensed that Gloria died young in her existence with him, and Nelson agreed.  "The two of you had a daughter," he said, "who also died young."  Gloria died brokenhearted once her daughter had passed.  The daughter's death occurred when she was about 10 years old, and Nelson believed it was caused by the European Black Death (also referred to as the Black Plague or the Bubonic Plague), which was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history, killing an estimated 75 to 200 million people and peaking in Europe in the years 1348–1350.  Gloria sensed that in that life, she blamed the ex-husband for the death of their daughter.

 

This daughter from a previous existence was the spirit who brought her father to our table.  She was a very elevated spirit who had been working with her father for a very long time, and her dedicated efforts were about to be rewarded by the spirit world.   

 

Spirit 2 (via Nelson):  Nelson saw her spirit as a column of white, pure light (as did Astrid).  This spirit started speaking directly to Jeff, telling him that he was being prepared for what was coming in the future.  She communicated in English, as she understood that Jeff did not comprehend Spanish, but she reminded him that he knew it before in his past.  She realized that the spirit world had given her a great gift today, as she recognized Jeff as her beloved husband from a former existence.  She had been asking the spirit world about him, and today she was filled with emotion as they brought her to our table to see Jeff again.  Her last wish was finally fulfilled, and she explained that Jeff will see her one more time - but she did not elaborate.  Her energy was very powerful, and she was very grateful.  "What an opportunity they have given to my spirit today," she exclaimed, "To allow me to communicate from the one you love now from the one who loved you before." 

 

She told the table that the spirit world was going to allow her to do something unique.  "From the one who loves you now, from the one who loved you before," she marveled.  The spirit asked Jeff to grasp Nelson's hand.  As she tightly held his hand, she explained that she wanted to share some of the love she had with him.  This spirit knew that she had difficult tasks and much work ahead of her, but her reunion today with her past love had strengthened her will to accomplish what she needed to do.  As she prepared to depart, she reminded the group to keep the love she shared with them, and "help whomever you can."  She departed with "helping" spirits (her word for the good spirits).  The table discussed how powerful her love was, and the manner in which she appeared.  Jeff noted that the spirit of Gloria's daughter from the past (born from the intense love of Gloria and her former husband) later became the spirit of his (Jeff's) former wife in another reincarnation.  "There is still hope for all of us," Astrid added.

 

Spirit 3 (via Jackie): Jackie saw Jeff's mother and sister involved in a series of constant disagreements, and Jeff updated the table on what he knew of their situation.

 

Nelson's spirit guide asked Astrid if the last hospital visit to her mother was good (and it was).  Jackie also sensed a little girl near Nelson, dressed in lace, possibly from the 1920's.  This spirit offered Nelson an opportunity to sit near her on a concrete bench.  Jackie saw her opening a book and saying, "You don't read to me anymore."  Nelson said he will read to her again.

 

Jackie closed with a prayer.

Florida - October 2, 2013

In attendance: Astrid, Gloria, Gregory, Jackie, Jeff, Nelson and Santiago

Nelson asked Jackie about the friend she mentioned in our previous session.  Her name was Donna, and she was getting better, but Jackie suspected that her improvement was temporary.  Jackie thought that Donna might be ready to give up.  Nelson saw the situation as a game of musical chairs in which Donna was the only participant, continuously circling the row of connected chairs.  Astrid sensed that one of Donna's problems was the financial dependency of her children.  Nelson saw other energies around Donna, but they wore hooded sweatshirts that obscured their faces.  Nelson also believed that Donna was attracted to a very negative group of her deceased "friends" (and Jackie agreed).  These spirits kept Donna in a state of dizziness all day long - like an endless game of musical chairs.  The spirits were too powerful to sit.

 

Nelson recommended that Donna take a long walk and drink mineral water.  He also realized that she needed to clean out whatever items she had in a top right hand drawer of a tall dresser in her bedroom.  The drawer should remain empty and unused.  Astrid sensed that even with this action, Donna still had a lot left to endure.

 

Jackie also wanted to know if any of the mediums sensed anything with her former brother-in-law, Mel.  They did not, and Nelson cautioned Jackie not to try to carry more than she should spiritually.  She has been overloading herself.  Gloria heard a voice saying, "Jackie, leave it alone."  Nelson recommended that Jackie also disconnect herself from Rafael, as he saw Rafael dazed, as if he was in a dream.  There is a spirit who looks like an identical twin attached to Rafael - and he wants to kill Rafael (Gloria saw the same thing).  Astrid saw Rafael giving up his ability to fight against this spirit, and Gloria saw him realizing that he has more friends when this spirit is around him.

 

Spirit 1 (via Nelson):  The spirit angrily asked, "What do you want?", as he sat through Nelson, "I almost have him, he is almost mine.  We are together.  Friends."  Gloria informed the spirit that he did not have the power just to do what he wanted, and Jackie told the spirit that it was time to leave Rafael alone.  The spirit was silent, and after a long pause, Astrid realized that the spirit was being shown what he had done.  He was also being shown his deceased body.  "That's not me.  Not me!", the spirit shouted, repulsed at what he saw.  Astrid told him, "Your have been out of that body for years," as she and the spirit saw the body only as bones.  Jackie explained, "You are no longer material, and you can't live through Rafael."  The spirit guides who brought him were trying to encourage him to leave with them.  "Don't take the laughter away from me..." he said.  He eventually decided to leave, but he wanted us to caution Rafael to be careful, saying, "Not everyone who comes in with a smile is really carrying a smile."  Gloria noticed how the air in the room improved and became cooler once the spirit departed - a change from the thick stagnant temperature in the room was when the spirit was present.

 

Spirit 2 (via Jackie):  Jackie saw Nelson in Chicago around the 1800's, riding in a carriage.  The driver pulled up to a building without any name or address, and told Nelson that he had arrived at his destination.  The building was filled with white light, and Jackie saw Nelson debating if he should enter.  Astrid saw it as Nelson possibly not trusting himself (or his instincts), and she told him, "eventually you will."

 

Spirit 3 (via Nelson):  Nelson cautioned Gregory to educate himself more (in regards to spiritualism) before attempting anything.  "Don't do things you think you can do, as you might be harmed," he advised.  Gregory should try to avoid making mistakes that he might regret later.  The table discussed spiritualism and free will, and Nelson reminded Gregory that once we are committed to spiritualism, there is no going back.  The spiritual education cannot be "undone," because as we learn and grow, we know better.  Nelson also encouraged Gregory not to be "frustrated by life," as we can always call on our spirit guides for assistance.  It became apparent that Nelson's words were not his, they were from a spirit guide who was very close to Gregory. Nelson and the spirit guide thought that Gregory would benefit from attending more sessions, to give him a sense of continuation.  Although he may not have many questions now, the questions will eventually come to him all at once, and Gregory will need to be prepared.  Nelson also sensed that Gregory's spirit guide was very protective of him, and he expressed a desire to sit at our table in a future reunion, where he could speak directly, unfiltered.  Jackie sensed the spirit of a Spanish nun near Gregory, ready to hit his knuckles with a book or ruler.

 

Similar to the last session, Jackie also felt the continuation of arguments between Jeff's mother and sister.  There was a spirit standing between them, trying to tell each of them that the ongoing arguments were ridiculous.  Nelson sensed that in a prior life, one of them may have killed the other.

 

Jackie closed with a prayer.
